is just lashing out against Woodward for firing WW. No way these people can support an argument that these were bad hires. As soon as football slightly struggles they’ll lash out against BK

You’re 80% right but there are some genuine knee jerk reactions to Johnson

TBF We haven't seen Johnson's actual coaching ability yet. I feel like a coach who is elite would clear up all the errors immediately and he's made them worse.

Obviously jury is still out but he nor McMahon aren't prone to criticism.

I don’t give two shits about WW or basketball.

Johnson has been a shitty hire based on fundamentals alone. Willing to give him 3 years but there is a disconnect and it’s obvious.

LSU had to move on from Wade. I hate it, but they didn’t really have a choice. Some of the fans live in fantasy land I think.

Not arguing with you, but what do you want him to do? I'm sure they're taking extra balls in practice.. but he can't go out there and play their positions and make the plays for them.

If by clear them up immediately you mean bench the starters and try other guys.. I guess that's an option, but I'm not sure anyone on the bench is a much better option.

I'm not going to just chalk it up to "it's just baseball" because it's definitely concerning.. they've already made like half the total of errors they made all last season.

Johnson has had a rough start. I don’t disagree with that. But there’s not even close to enough time to judge anything at all.

I’m actually not seeing enough of that hate to hurt my feelings. I think a huge silent majority is very happy and content.

And i don’t follow baseball but the rant was convinced the team was going to omaha based on beating Maine or some shite now thinks he’s terrible lmfao

The basketball community seems to think McMahon is a very good hire

The typical time a fanbase gives to say a baseball coach was a bad hire is 2-3 years for most schools. The typical time for the Rant to give baseball coach before determining he was a bad hire is up until the first conference weekend.

Our fans are insufferable.

The only obvious "disconnect" is that he's not Manieri. It's March. Check back in May/June

Never a fan of the BK hire.

However, Mulkey was a homerun hire.

I am a big Wade fan, but hope that McMahon can continue what Wade was accomplishing.

Don’t hate McMahon at all. Had this been the first hire after Jones tenure, I’d be thrilled.

Wade created a new standard and I’m not sure he’s going to be able to meet it. Not for lack of X and O’s but for an inability to land Jimmy’s and Joe’s.

Hope he proves me wrong, but given where this program has climbed to in the last 5 years, its a letdown.

Before all the chicken Little’s come crying about sanctions, that’s an excuse for maybe 1 or 2 years. With a good recruiter and the portal, there’s no excuses past year 2 anymore.

Calling McMahon a homerun hire strictly because LSU hired him is also a knee jerk reaction.

False. The ncaa is only effective against schools that cave in. Woodward wanted. Wade gone.

Honestly, it’s going to be up to the boosters to step it up at this point. We know the new coach is a brilliant basketball mind. It’s up to the boosters if they want to pony up.

98% of the people don't know wtf they're talking about. No one really knows what a coach will do until they are here. It's knee jerk reactions whether they win or lose.
