All these people saying Penix should have won the Heisman need realize one thing

He’s way older than everyone else.
He was in the same high school class as these guys who are in the NFL:
Trevor Lawrence 3 years in the league
Zach Wilson 3 years
Brock Purdy 2 years
Justin Fields 3 years
Will Levis Rookie
Dorian Thompson-Robinson 1 year
Matt Coral 2 years
Trey Lance 3 years
Tyson Bagent Rookie
QB’s in HS classes after him:
Bryce Young Rookie
CJ Stroud Rookie
Anthony Richardson Rookie
Sam Howell 1 year
When you’re that much older, experienced and mature it does make a huge difference. He’s an hell of a player but nothing special. Any of those guys would be tearing it up just like he is this year. Daniels clearly was the more outstanding of the 2.

Penix had a great game in the Sugar. Over the course of the season he wasn’t close to Daniels.

Him being older doesn’t matter. He had multiple bad games while JD5 was stellar the entire season.

JD is 10 months younger than Lawerence and 7 months younger than Penix.

Daniels still has around 300 more total yards and 10-12 TDs and Penix has played 2 more games.

You must not be on twitter. Washington fans have been salty as frick since JD won the heisman. Last night and this AM twitter has been a swamped with people bitching about Penix getting snubbed.
Penix is really good. He didn't win the heisman, bc JD was better. His age shouldn't matter for the heisman. Yes it helped him, but JD's experience absolutely helped him too.
