Think a little deeper. You seriously don't think some potential candidates are going to want to avoid the spot because of the political shenanigans? Who is your boss going to be? Is it LSU or the governor of this state? Do you now owe something to the governor for getting you hired? Are you going to have to publicly kiss his arse and/or do favors for him because he was involved in the process?

I think youre going a little too deep here. Landry said in his press conference that he had no personal issues with BK but that the performance on the field wasn't good enough. Which is what everyone on this board was talking about. Hes had beef with scott for a while and has wanted him gone and will use this as justification.
ADs also dont usually get to make 2 football hires. So I really dont understand the uproar over "who is gonna make the hire since we dont have an AD???"
He cant fire a coach without booster backing which ties his hands tremendously for this "quid pro quo" situation you are making up.

We have no president currently, it’s not like Landry usurped somebody and is acting out of turn. They’re trying to get Saban to help with the search, maybe even head up football ops though the latter is doubtful. They’re talking to a very good replacement for Woody who is active and a real worker. The coach almost assuredly won’t be a splash hire and will be somebody we can build with. These are good things but because “muh politics” our idiot fans are having a meltdown.

I dont really think it's as big of a deal that you're making it out to be. If landry came out saying "I am the search" that would be one thing but he's just a loud mouth talking sh*t. He's feeling like the big dick guy because he had a hand in the fireing in a similar way both of our last 2 ADs did. If he oversteps, the money people behind LSU football are also running politics, will straighten him out.
