The hit put on Jefferson = the hit OSU put on that girl who plays qb for Clemson

They are crying and whining but the boy broke the rules. 10 years ago that was a common hit. It took guys with large foreheads and wide set eyes to play LB back then. 47 looked like a Neanderthal as he left and his style of play is extinct

People can bitch all they want about the rule, but it was enforced correctly. That was textbook targeting and it's exactly the kind of play they're trying to get out of the game.

Same thing goes for the blindside block. 15 years ago that would have been on the "Jacked Up" segment. But, now it's a penalty every time. Can't block a player from the side like that if you're even slightly facing your own endzone.

The PAC12 refs sucked. Chaisson was getting held every play it seemed - and he was tackled on the Siaki Ika "hands to the face" penalty and tackled on his facemask penalty.

In other words, six of one, half dozen of the other.

That dude is a badass
linebacker. Clemson def missed him after he left the game.

The "questionable" calls more or less went both ways. I thought LSU benefited from some good spots. The OPI that wiped out a Clemson TD was probably a bit borderline relative to more egregious PI's that aren't called. I think Vincent got turned around so bad on his own that he made the grab look worse than it probably was. And although LSU did a good job hurrying up, they didn't stop the game to review Clyde's hand clearly being out of bounds on his big run after catch.

yea out there all over the internet. But these people haven't watched the SEC where targeting is called every week and almost every game. I just respond read the rule! Simple!

Leading with the crown of the helmet. Can't get any more clear.

#18 was being tackled as he grabbed TL’s face mask. Should have been off setting.

Exactly. All you need to see is 47 deliberately look straight at the ground when he delivers the hit.
That was a penalty in 1982 BREC football and is most definitely a penalty today at any level.

He would have been tossed with his hit on Joe if he had hit with helmet instead of shoulder pads. One was a hard clean hit, and the other gets your arse tossed.

Simple.
