We will renovate the box. Like we do with all of our venues. It is the atmosphere and the fans that make the box special...we will make it better though.

Only thing the Box needs is a berm of some sorts. Allow a first come first serve cookout area in centerfield like other venues have. We, LSU, are known for our food and tailgates. Let's add to this allure with a berm.
What facility is that past the outfield? Looks like a bunch of junk and trailer parking.

I would love to see them do something in centerfield. A BBQ area would be cool

It's a maintenance area. They work on those carts and other equipment.

Nah it's a nice facility with plenty of room to renovate and expand down the lines.

You think the box is the nicest stadium?
There is a huge difference between not "keeping up with the Jones" and having the premier college baseball stadium.
The box is easily in the top 1% of amateur baseball stadiums. Combined with the dedicated fan base, tradition, coaches, in state talent, and other facilities, LSU is near the top if not #1

I think the next step is to improve the outfield experience. There's not much out there besides some bleachers.

All I know is what Skip Bertman mentioned at our meeting and the fact that if they are building new facilities for baseball, they are also making concurrent improvements for Softball.
That doesn't make it a Title IX requirement because it's not. The money football programs spend on upgrades far exceeds all other sports combined. Title IX pertains to giving females the same opportunity to attend college, not how much money is spent on athletic facilities. Federal money is never used to build athletic facilities so Title IX is irrelevant even in that context. That may be LSU's stance but it is not a Title IX requirement and football alone should show you as much.

I gotcha. I agree with the separation of N,S,E,W for football. But baseball is so different. I enjoy walking around to friends seats and that concept is pretty cool.
