I just wish the picture was taken at a lower angle so you could see Death Valley in the background with it's lights on too.

this picture is really awesome. also my background. i just wish it had DV in the back like someone suggested and a higher resolution (i run 1680x1050 and it looks a bit stretched) but cant really complain.
btw. that helicopter annoyed the shite out of me

That's a great point. I wouldn't have seen anything wrong with the pic if the one poster hadn't said something about needing some bleaches or a berm in right field. I agree. Gotta have something there. Does anyone know if we have room for that there? Otherwise that is one of the best photographs of any of LSU's facilities I've seen. Awesome. Where the scoreboard is now it can be seen from Nicholson so people driving by can see how bad LSU is kicking someone's arse!

The MAIN reason for the orientation of the field is the sun. Centerfield is always toward the north, so that the sun will never be in the batter's field of vision.
...unless the stadium is a dome.
