Apparently a better day than you're having Sammy! You do know who Alan Faneca is, don't you?

I wasn’t trying to be a dick and I’m having a great day.

I just Saw your name and though you might be new because of the hire, but then I saw you became a member in 2007. So you’re a long time fan and now you have an LSU legend coaching your local high school.

I would have to wager that’s an pleasant surprise.

And I said random BC I had no reason to even associate Faneca with VA Beach before.

Is Cox any good? I lived in Norfolk back in the early 2000s and remember Bayside, Ocean Lakes, a few of the others being decent. So much talent in all sports comes out of Hampton Roads

Sorry that I took it the wrong way, SammyTiger!

I thought that people would be interested that Faneca is now a high school head coach, no matter where.

According to the article, his wife is from Virginia Beach and their daughter is a sophomore at the school.

It’s very interesting.

I didnt Know he had connections to VA Beach, but it’s always the wife. Lol.

Wonder if he’ll be installing the John Curtis Veer.

They are decent. A lot of the 5stars come from the schools you mentioned. Florida seems to get a lot of the top players along with UNC, Penn State and ND. Interestingly, the local paper mentioned last year that VA Tech and UVA have essentially given up on recruiting the Hampton Roads area like they used to when they were good.

Well living in Virginia for the last 15 years I can tell you high school football here is irrelevant compared to Louisiana. Never heard of that high school and what is his tie to this area?

But the programs and state high school organization suck. They don't even play a true state championship here and in Chesterfield County(which is the largest school system in Virginia) where I live, there is no middle school football! It sucks...they don't touch a weight or run the high schools offense or defense until their freshman year.

I didn’t know he lived there. He was here in Thibodaux for a few years but I thought he moved to New Orleans.

maybe in physical size.
VA has a typical high school football structure. Biggest schools 5A then 4A etc. Didnt know they didnt play middle school ball in chesterfield. They had it where im at in Richmond
But yeah they aren’t training here like those boys in Louisiana are
