Alabama's already weak strength of schedule taking a big hit this weekend

Obviously they are 8-0. Let's revisit who they have played
1. Arkansas - still winless in the SEC - lost to Vandy by double digits giving Vandy their first conference Win
2. Louisville - still winless in the ACC lost by double digits to Wake Forest giving Wake Forest their first ACC win
3/4 ULL beat Arkansas state - this is a wash since they played both of these world beaters
5. Mizzou - lost to Kentucky, albeit on a controversial PI call (ETA - Mizzou is also winless in the SEC)
6. TAMU - lost by double digits to MSU (to date this was their most impressive win)
7. Ole Miss - Bye week, no change here
8. Tenn - currently trailing South Carolina by 3 late in the 4th quarter- outcome pending. Update - South Carolina has now secured the victory
Obviously Alabama is very very good this year. But I'd argue they're a little bit difficult to evaluate based on schedule to date. We'll find out how good they are when they come to Death Valley.
*Now with the SC/Tenn game decided the only team of the 7 playing this weekend that won was ULL that won against another garbage team on their schedule.
Update - conference record of the power 5 teams Alabama has played to date - 5-23, or a 17.8% win pct
Louisville (0-5)
Tenn (1-4)
Mizzou (0-4)
TAMU (3-2)
Ole MISS (1-3)
Arkansas (0-5)

Shameless bump to update based on the outcome of the SC/Tenn game
Cliff notes - Bama's schedule sucks a dick so far

When the Tigers beat them, they are going to drop like a rock !!

This is why I don't get the talk of them losing and still being in the top 4. They should drop further.

If they lose to us they should drop to about 8

And even a win against a very down Auburn program won't help their cause.
It's a really atrocious schedule. A loss should really hurt them tbh.

who’s gonna start the ‘skull drag’ prognostications?

If they lose to us they are in the unfortunate position of not being able to improve their resume with a win in the SEC Championship game
With the weak schedule they're playing this year they should be required to run the table to be in the playoff

For the record - I think Alabama should be favored against us and if we win I expect it to be close
I just think that maybe people should pump the brakes on this being the best team ever. Their schedule has been less than impressive already and it just got a lot worse this week.
7 of the 8 teams they've played thus far were active today. 6/7 lost and the only one out of the 7 that won won by default because they were playing one of the other teams. Someone had to win that game.
The only one that even lost to a ranked team was Mizzou. Everyone else lost to unranked teams and some lost by double digits to really really poor unranked teams

Meanwhile, Notre Dame is playing Navy. While I appreciate our armed forces, their athletic programs are not what they are known for.
Big names play cupcakes and will be the darlings of the sports world.

I agree their schedule is horrid, but they are the defending NC and have throttled every team they've played.
They're not dropping out of the top 4.

LSU is going to skull drag Alabama.

Yes
They're very good at not playing down to their opponent

They will if they lose to LSU. There will be no logical justification for keeping them in the top 4 at that point

Notre Dame played and beat the #5 team in the nation right now. This giant knock against Notre Dame is odd because they easily have one of the best resumes in the country right now. ND's Schedule vs Bama's isnt even comparable

Yeah, but this year has shown that TAMU gets ranked because of losing. Expect a jump in the polls for them. Haha.

Bama would drop to 5-6 with a loss to LSU.

If LSU beats Bama and wins the west, when it comes to playoff selection time, you will constantly hear about Bama passing the eye test. This game means nothing for Bama.

TAMU is the ultimate moral victory team
They're awesome for barely losing to Clemson
Lost to Alabama by 22 and they're still awesome
Just lost by 15 to MSU who couldn't complete a forward pass against LSU
They should drop out of the top 25. I think they were being given a benefit of a doubt since the only 2 losses were to Clemson and Alabama.

They should. I just don't think they will.

Upvoted.
Don’t want to make any predictions, but I agree that Bama hasn’t been tested. Especially the QB.
