Also suggested BK isn’t an elite coach . I don’t understand where people get this idea from lol. Dude has almost 300 career wins . Has a national championship game appearance with ND along with 2 playoff appearances.

Strictly because he doesn’t have a national championship win. Look at mike Martin fsu baseball.. legendary coach BUT he never won a title and that’s going to be said every time someone mentions his name
BK has to win a title to silence the haters!

Generally, don’t disagree but Dan Marino is a Top 5 QB of all time without a SB ring. Is he not elite?

I thought their perspectives were quite reasonable and respectable. Actually it was on point. You guys think if opposing fans don’t gush and worship our coach and players they are really attacking and disrespecting LSU. And that’s not the case at all here.

I get what you are saying, but there’s a massive difference between a college head coach and an NFL quarterback. The head coach has control over everything that goes on in that program. It makes much more sense to blame a coach for not winning championships rather than a single player.

People overuse the word elite so often that the value of the word has lost credence. You have to get that ring to truly be considered elite. BK is a great coach, but he came to LSU so that he can be remembered as an elite coach

CBK won two national titles on the D2 level with Grand Valley State, and got Notre Dame very close to bringing home hardware. He managed to make Central Michigan good before heading to Cincy, who he immediately turned around from kind of awful to a solid program. He brought in a great first recruiting class at LSU, and won the SEC West in year 1 when expectations were nowhere near that yet.
And yet people still say he’s a terrible coach and our inability to recruit will be our downfall. Like where are people even getting this from? Composite numbers on 247 and salty Notre Dame fans?

Why did BK come to LSU from Notre Dame? THE reason?
He came here, because he could get the type of players you need to obtain a National Championship that he couldn’t at Notre Dame.
At Notre Dame he was severely restricted in getting transfers that you can get at LSU. In Louisiana WR’s, CB’s, and RB’s grow on trees that LSU can easily get while Notre Dame has a much more difficult path to get.
Everything is NOT in a head coaches control. Different schools provide much greater ability to win championships than others.
