Both Josh Brooks and Keith Carter at OleMiss were AD’s BEFORE their current schools. THATS WHY OUR HIRE IS DIFFERENT, LAZY, and SAD!

Brooks was AD at Millsaps and Carter was not an AD anywhere else. He’s been at Ole Miss since 2009.
Deputy AD at LSU >> Millsaps. Hell, LSU just hired a sitting FBS AD for the other Deputy AD role.

This is a very simple situation. The governor ran his mouth and shot his own dick off. It was clearly no secret that he wanted to get rid of Woodward, but it wasn’t supposed to happen that quickly. Suddenly, the university found itself in a position where they have to hire a football coach and an AD. This is a shotgun marriage because there is no time to find another candidate, and frankly what other candidate would want it under the circumstances.
They could have quietly pushed Woodward to the side, and I had him sit on the bench while a search committee found in the next coach. Then they could have pushed him out of the door once the hiring was over.
I want to move back to Louisiana just to vote against Jeff Landry in 2027.

Just responding to the latest intelligent post. Give you a short history for A&M:
1. Woodward from UW. You know the history.
2. Ross Bjork from Ole Miss. I have nothing positive to say about Bjork. He attemped to repace Jimbo with Mark Stoops at $10 per. That hire was rejected which left to him being told to find another job. He fell up to OSU.
3. Trev Alberts from Nebraska. He has been tasked with cleaning up the department finances. Its been painful but necessary.
So 3 in a row from other universities.

Nah, we just know what’s coming. Instead of doing what every other Major Athletic University in D1 does and having a Search Committee, bring in the best and brightest to interview, we grab a local, minor league President, ie bargain basement, and then to top it all off, we promote a career employee who’s never aspired to do anything, other than sit in the shadows and try to cover up a domestic violence crime. Wow, we are so lazy and this reeks of Louisiana politics and good ol boy cronyism.
