Alabama favored by 14 pts. in Death Valley, biggest game ever in Tiger Stadium history?

No.1 Alabama is favored by 14 pts. over no.4 LSU, it's not just the rankings that make this the biggest game ever played in Tiger Stadium, it's also that the no.1 ranked visiting team is favored by 14pts over the no.4 ranked home team. Not sure this has ever occurred with Vegas oddsmakers, especially with the no.4 team having such a strong home-field advantage like LSU. To me, this is truly the biggest regular season football game ever played in Tiger Stadium, it has so many storylines and as if this game needed more, it also has LSU's best player suspended for a half by an already suspect SEC officiating crew.
Want more intrigue, how about this? For LSU to be this far into the season having played one of college football's toughest schedules and ranked at no.4, yet being a 14 point underdog at home in Death Valley, with the added playoff implications for both LSU and Bama. How could any regular season game be any bigger in Tiger Stadium? Something tells me LSU has the added juice to pull off a shocker that few see coming.

It is huge. And I hope you’re right and we beat them.
But then they just get a bye and go directly into the playoffs.

It’s only 14? Who has the line posted?

I think the 2012 game was more important to the overall trajectory of the program. we’re clearly on an uptick right now, and can still possibly play in the Sugar Bowl if we drop this one.
maybe it’s because I was a student at the time, but for some reason that 2012 game felt like the entire world was behind us. and we blew it

It was 14 pts two hours ago, will be interesting to see how it moves in the next two weeks.

This is nowhere near the biggest game ever in Tiger Stadium.

In terms of pure rankings of the 2 teams it’s up there

You're free to disagree, but I'll remind you, with Alabama being this invincible team their alleged to be, and LSU has already defeated 4 ranked teams, including the no.2 team, yet are 14 pt underdogs at home. It defies logic.

Damn I figured it would be 9-11 pats. This means at Bama it would be over 20. This is the best Bama offense I’ve ever seen. They ares are good and our defense has its hands full

And with LSU's passing defense coming on so strong, would have been five picks in one game, but one was called back, that's insane.

Off the top of my head, 2012 Bama was a bigger game for a number of reasons. But I think the main reason is that Bama is still getting in the playoffs if they lose to us in two weeks. So this game doesn’t mean what it once used to mean.
But don’t get me wrong. It’s a huge game. It’s the biggest home game since that 2012 game. Highest ranked matchup of teams since #1 LSU vs #3 Arkansas in 2011.

This one's bigger. IF LSU defeats Bama in two weeks, the trajectory will put LSU on a path to repay a debt, that's long overdue. Can't imagine one in the past that is bigger than this if things all fall into place.

It is a big game for sure, but to say it is the biggest game in Tiger Stadium history would be a hell of a stretch.

I’m seeing the line at 20.5
5Dimes has look ahead line at 16

If that’s what it takes for LSU to finally make the CFB, then so be it. Avenge 2011 and beat them again.

If you see the line at 20.5 then you are putting this LSU team on the same level as Missouri and Ole Miss

Not the biggest game ever in Tiger stadium, maybe one of them
