I didn't realize until just now looking at the stats that our batters only struck out one time tonight.....Slaughter. And we had 6 walks.

yeah despite what you may read on the rant, we have the fewest strikeouts as a team in the conference and 19 fewer than the next closest team. Also a common rant narrative is that Beau strikes out all the time. He has the fewest on the team of our regular starters.

If I followed this thread during a game I would certainly be banned rather quickly.

I think I've missed two games this season. One I listened to and the other I followed Cheer's PBP, because I couldn't listen. I just refreshed his post history though I think.

I'm not mentally strong enough to handle this many idiots at once.

I hope you weren't talking about me. I never bail out. I watch every game to the final pitch even when they're getting blown out. It usually annoys everyone watching the game with me because they usually want to get up and go do something else or change the channel

Plenty of people gave up at 4-0 or 4-1. Tonight is a shining example of why it ain't over 'til it's over.

My daughter had prom last night, I had to stop watching during the 7th inning stretch.
When I got home instead of checking the score I went to bed, we were down a bunch. I just found out we won.

Down by "a bunch" to a great pitching staff going into the 8th is being down by 2-3.

Being down by "a bunch" to a not so good baseball team is 6-7. LSU was never out of it.

Yep. It'll probably be forgotten that the rally started off with an error, then Bama walked the bases loaded and later walked in a run, all before Beau's grand slam. They're 6-19 in the SEC for a reason.

But to be fair Hess plunked/walked the bases loaded a few times contributed to some of their runs too. You just have to take advantage of your opportunities and your opponents mistakes.

I bet attendance tomorrow will be very poor.
You're going to lose that bet.

There are fewer tickets available on StubHub for tonight's game than for any other game this season....only 139 tickets left.

For comparison at this time yesterday for last night's game #1 there were over 360 tickets available.
