Rantz is an idiot. The ump was right there and saw it hit the net. Then Thompson gets hit and he says I didn’t see it. It’s like he tries too hard to be impartial.

Several reasons. Balls like the always come back toward the field of play. That’s a known thing that the catchers/fielders are taught. That wind is blowing towards right field. A ball hit up in the air like that wouldn’t bounce that far back off the net.

That’s not true it all. It’s entirely possible for it to bounce like that.
