Comparing Daniels to mahomes? I love Daniels but come on. Mahomes is a legend and not even 30. Daniels has a long way to go as a passer and decision maker before he is a 3 time Super Bowl mvp.

Mahomes did a lot of running at the end of the game and the niners were clearly gassed. Assumed that’s what he was referring too.

Obviously, especially as a passer. But his decision making hasn’t been a problem.

How many times in 2023 did Daniels make the wrong decision? 2022, Yes, 2023 he was great at everything.

I'm not saying he will be as good as Mahomes but that dude was the second best QB in LSU history and could make an argument of being the best because of his running ability.

He didn’t make bad decision in 2022. It was his first year in the offense and he wasn’t with the team during Spring practice.

He was a bit hesitant at times but his rarely made the wrong decision
I’m sure he’ll have some similar growing pains as an NFL rookie.

How great would it be to see a super bowl with Burrow vs. Daniels?

Daniels COULD be a great QB in the NFL, but given the number of cant misses that have failed, I will sit and watch. Would I take hime early, yes. Does he have the tools, yes. But the NFL is an odd, odd place. Look at the two QBs last night. Hell Turbisky was drafted in front of Mahommes. And Watson has tools that are other worldly yet hasnt dont anything of note.

Sometimes tucking and running is the wrong decision. He didn't turn the ball over in 2022, but he made a lot of bad decisions. He minimized the impact of those bad decisions. He improved in leaps and bounds in 2023.

For some reason the talking heads want to compare Daniels to Lamar Jackson...

In reality, Daniels is a much more polished passer coming into the league that Lamar is in his 6th? year.

I was thinking along the same lines. The right coach can help him become a mainstay for any organization. Well almost any.

The thing about Daniels in ‘23 and ‘22 OOS he had the use of the cognitive AI tool where the other teams defense was loaded into the visor and LSU plays were run against them. They were run at increasing speeds faster than they could be run in a game. This allowed him to recognize what was going on with the defense T a higher speed and he learned what was happening way faster than QB normally do and recognized what was best very early in the play, maybe like 2secs. He could tell pass or run and who would be open almost immediately. Since this was coupled with good judgement he took advantage of it.

That device will revolutionize QB. Right now LSU is the only one with it. That’s why we literally had our choice of oncomingQB They all saw how it developed QB. Daniels was a senior and knew a lot about football strategy so he was really able to use it. They are planning on developing it for other positions

Well the thought sounds good, but man who the heck do you pull for? I guess whichever team has the most lsu players maybe. If daniels goes to new england then it will never happen. If goes to the redskins it will prolly never happen either. I would like to see daniels with the cowboys but that prolly won't happen either.

Being compared to a 2x MVP isn’t a bad thing.

obviously his career path is TBD, and if you had to bet, you'd likely take the odds that he doesn't become great.......but, that line you said is exactly what people said last off season when others stated that IF JD just makes some improvements in certain areas, he could make a similar jump to what Joe did....and he did!!! the defense just sucked arse. either way, i'm pulling for JD to light it up at the next level.

Name one team that has won a Super Bowl with a dual threat QB? Steve young is the closest and that was over 20 years ago.
