The only people who care about this are outside observers who assume we actually care about this. We don’t.

We should definitely hire a guy that has 7 games experience as a DC

That's seven more games than Rattay has as an OC.

Kelvin Shepard would be my pick, assuming we get a competent OC like Tim Rattay

Would be a massive roll of the dice.

One year as Player Development at LSU in 2020, 4 years as a position coach and one year (this year) as DC?

Stop with that nonsense.

BK didn’t fail because of where he’s from. He failed because he refused to be where he was. He lacks charisma. Worse, his apparent detachment exacerbated a lack of attention to detail.

"One of us" makes us sound narrow-minded, secluded and stuck in the past.

It doesn’t have to be “one of us” it just has to be a guy who buys in to the expectations and history of LSU Football. Someone who gives everything he has to the program and never even appears to let his foot off the gas.

Hell even, ULL is lucky to have Head Coach Michael Desormeaux that is an Alum and took them to a Sun Belt Championship Game last year!

I sure hope this post is tongue in cheek. Desormeaux is a disaster at ULL. He is about to have his 3rd losing season in 4 years. He has not won a a single bowl game. Ole Billy (not one of us) had 3 straight 10-plus win seasons and 3 consecutive bowl wins.

LSU needs to seriously look to hire competence for a change, and that would come at a very high level with Kevin Mawae. Let's stop hiring these coaching ladder guys and get someone to teach our players that actually did it at a HOF level. LSU needs to capitalize on getting the best and no one was better than KM in the NFL oline. Don't not hire him because he was an LSU grad.....we did it with Williams and it is paying off. Do the same with KM.
And we should also get HB to work with our DB's, just for an effort and dedication to be the best they can be. He wants it badly.....let him do it and learn in come capacity. I think Perkins would have been a different player if HB was coaching him. Just my opinion!
