LSU’s roster is expected to include just three players who started a game under former coach Les Miles: receiver Dee Anderson, tight end Foster Moreau and safety Ed Paris.

This is pretty interesting

nice read - good job Ross

We would have won 10 games but:

We had an inexperienced QB but next year we coming
We had injuries at RB and CB causing us to shuffle players
We had a tough schedule this year but next year will coming!
We have to recruit better that's on me. Next year we coming.

Politician.

It's easy to just say things, and get all rah rah.

I'm skeptical about his abilities, but hope to be wrong.

edit: What some reporter says is at the bottom of my list for any sort of credibility.

you mean like doug nussmeier ? the funny thing is, nussmeier, whatever you want to say about his offenses, at least he has been an OC this millienium. can't say the same about Ensminger.

Are you surprised a guy took an actual coaching job, IN THE NFL, over a job breaking down film in the back room of the LSU athletic facility for less money and recognition?

I nominate that for post of the year. Too bad you'll be called an anti LSU fan by Pirate, Ree, and all of the other bitches for bringing sound logic and reasoning. That's the best they can do.

Aranda did choose to stay knowing O was the head coach. He certainly didn’t have to do that.

Let me guess, he told you the QB was aweome, he has the best staff in America and he was gonna let his coaches coach. Heard all that before. Dude is a liar.

the giant glaring issue at LSU is quarterback. want to beat bama? have elite qb play. all the shadow staffers in the world won't matter if brennan/narcisse are trash.

Maybe more of an unknown vs glaring issue. Having guys that break down every defensive tendency of an opponent will only make them better though. I'll say it again, Bama's success is talent and attention to detail. Saban is 66 years old (since we talk about age a lot here). He's not doing it all on his own. Bama and Ohio St have larger support staffs than most other CFB programs. That's not a coincidence.

I really hope we win a natty this year just so some of these dicks can slither back to their basement.

That's kind of sad. Most of us hope LSU wins a national championship just so LSU wins a national championship.

When I watch the coaches work, I saw coaches still gathering information (about the opponent) on Tuesday and Wednesday — information that should have been covered in the summer, could have been given to them on Sunday night.

See, this is the kind of stuff that just makes it very difficult to take this guy seriously.

Like, it took you a year and a half to realize that gathering information on that weeks opponent should have been done earlier than Wednesday???

It’s the same nonsense about what he “learned from his mistakes” at Ole Miss. Oh, you should let your coaches coach? You should treat your players like family and not call them pussies and challenge them to fights?? You shouldn’t verbally and try to physically assault reporters that ran a story you didn’t like???

Well fricking EUREKA!!!! He gets it now!!!

Everything with this guy is all about putting out fires after things blow up. He isn’t proactive because he has no vision and simply isn’t cut out to be a head coach.

Or maybe I’m completely wrong and he will be holding up that SEC Championship Trophy in two years and LSU will be in the playoffs.

Or maybe it’ll be two years after that

Bottom9 nominating someone for post of the year is like Hitler nominating someone for the Nobel Peace Prize

Yeah, they sell cars.

Alleva could've gone to Price Leblanc Toyota and got someone to do O's job and it wouldn't have cost LSU $3.5m a year.

If the shoe fits.....

Hahaha ... had a feeling this would come up! IMO, one has nothing to do with the other. I'm not miserable at all and won't be during the season eithee. For me, I'm just in wait and see mode. I THINK it's gonna be a long season, but I'm not ruling out success. I think anyone that tries to put a definite outcome on the season is setting themselves up for something.

Saying that it should at least be a 10-2 season is awfully ambitious for a coach that has 19 career wins against a very tough schedule.

no I am not. just merely pointing out that this "shadow staff" that O is assembling isn't quite coming together like some O supporters would have you believe.
