I've never seen any player, on any team, college or pro that had the same effect TM7 had at LSU.

He was absolutely electric. Absolutely fearless football player and was about 5'8

Hodson??? Cmon man. Hodson was good, but not Faulk good

4xall sec disagrees. If we could have any player over again I would choose hodson.

But to answer this poll, you have to say casanova. 3x-all American in 3 seasons is ridiculous.

Bert Jones was my favorite, but I have to vote for Tommy Casanova as the best.

My personal favorite is Tommy Casanova though I like Bert Jones just as much. Old School!

Casanova was bigger than most of our Dbacks today. Taller and was a flat out as dominant a player I've ever seen in p&G for 3 years. Thats what sets him apart - the 3 years. Before the color line comes out, he did it in the pros. Had TM7 stayed out of trouble he wins this going away. His dominance in making turn overs has not been equaled in the SEC by no one. You have to look at it in a per game perspective.

Most on this board never saw him play. But hands down was Tommy Casanova. After that is where the real argument starts. Faulk, Hodson, Cannon, Mathieu, and a few others can stake claim to 2-5. But Casanova was in a league of his own. He started at tailback as a sophomore then switched in season to db and still was an all american.

Tommy Casanova: LSU’s only 3-time All-American

Casanova was a BMF then and would still be a BMF against this generation. Stepped away from the NFL to become an MD. An impressive person on & off the field...

I am probably older than most and will be downvoted but I wouldn't have put Hodson in my top 25. Dalton Hilliard seems to always get lost in the shuffle and even though I am not that old, how about Y.A. Tittle?

Personally I think LF is the best football player I've ever watched, on any team, at any level

TM7 is up there too.

If Cecil Collins wasn't such an idiot, and played a full career he'd easily be on this list.
