I don’t know? That’s why it’s crazy to me. Why would a senior be offered anything above peanuts?

For the sake of argument, what would be his benefit to coming back? He loses all leverage for next year. Isn’t it possible he could go in the first few rounds next year and get offered basically $5000 and that’s it? That said, I’m glad he is coming back. We can definitely use him.

Was there a round 21? Did I miss something?

No I made a mistake coming over from the draft board. I thought he was drafted.

I hope Dugas signs for a lot. He seems like a good young man with a lot of heart. I’ll be interested to see how much?

Here’s a crazy idea…maybe to get his college degree since he went I drafted and knows the odds of him making it to the league are slim.

My understanding is undrafted players can sign for $150k or less and it does not count against the pool. If they sign for anything over $150k, it does.

Because they can absolutely say no. Sit out a year and be a free agent the next year.

Well why offer a college senior even a dollar? They can’t say no right?
Yeah they can say no and wait until next years draft.

Mark Appel
Drafted 8th overall as a Jr. (NYM)
returned to Stanford as a Sr. then was drafted 1st overall (HOU) $6.35 million bonus

Kumar Rocker
Drafted 10th overall as a Jr. (NYM...again)
played independent ball prior to 22 draft
Drafted in the 1st round (TEX) $5.2 million bonus

If you're considered "top tier" you get paid no matter your classification.
