There obviously wasn't much if any thought. If you told me they were not informed of the drug testing policy then latitude would be in order. This business of the team forgives them why don't the fans is beyond needing discussion. 92,000 plus fill the stadium and we have one of the best travelling bases in all of college football. Forgiveness isn't an issue. I believe trust would be the greater issue needing discussion

Seems to me it's time for Miles to stop being the "players" coach and friend and lay to the Freakin law. It's all about perspective and apparently Miles is failing to educate these young men on the values of "team". The team is greater than the individual and the poor judgment shown thus far by many of these players have not embraced or learned that they belong to something that is bigger than themselves.

I'm guessing Miles is educating them, but like the rest of society there will always be a few that will do as much as they can to skirt the rules in hopes of not getting caught. Remember, the majority did the right thing.

I hate that it happened in such a great season but one thing about it, and Shep Tweeted this last night, is this team knows how to overcome controversy and obstacles. I have no doubt this will bring them closer for the Bama game if reinstated by then.

My whole point is that if the whole team all the way From T-Bob, BWing, RR2, etc are all showing support for them right now then shouldn't the fans be doing the same instead of tearing them down?

OK, I'm now over the initial shock and have moved on. Now it's on to embarassing Aubarn on national TV with a beatdown.

So the fans need to be able to trust the players not to make any bad decisions as maturing adults while the team shouldn't require anything of the fans like turning songs into profanity laced lyrics in a stadium with children attending. Like not booing players or coaches on a winning team on national TV also causing embarrassment to the school. Or the players on the team not being able to vent their frustration with how the fans support the team only when things are good, while the fans are allowed to vent. That's right, they should shut up like little kids, but somehow be men at the same time while the whining on this board continues about how they need to grow up. Every fan in that stadium on Saturday represents LSU too. Trust is a big issue both ways. There needs to be a trust between the coaches, players, and fans. But I guess we're all waiting to see who goes first. I say the elders.

It's a free country, ultimately you can't control what people or players do, fans can boo, players can smoke weed, people can leave early, players can trash talk, and there ain't shite you can do about it. Your life will be much less stressful if you can accept that.

"all of the folks out there condemning the players, remember John 8:7..."Ye who is without sin cast the first stone"...."

I don't think I would be quoting Christ in here.... especially when it's quoted out of context.

Exactly... just like before the season opener we lost a O line man or two.. some were freaking out about using back ups, one Rantard told me they were back ups for a reason!! It is just an opportunity, to step in and show what you can do.. Fortunately, LSU has this kind of depth..

We all still make mistakes now.

People blow it up b/c they are football players. It's college gets smokin' some weed. Happens all the time. Nothing to see here...everyone move along.

Those calling this a mistake are not accurate. A mistake is something like oversleeping and missing a meeting or practice.

IF these guys failed a drug test for synthetic weed, that means they decided to get some- went and bought some- rolled it up and prepped it- lit it on fire- inhaled the smoke. All of these are done on purpose. Not one of those steps would be done by accident.

Is it the end of the world for college students to get high? No. But that does not mean that that it should be excused, either. They should be penalized (they are), and they should expect to be villified by the people they represent when wearing that uniform.

Really? I don't see this. Outside of a couple people, most are just acknowledging bad judgement.

If LSU beats Auburn, by the end of the season no one will give a rats arse about the whole deal.

what have the 3 players said to this point to any remorse for what they did?

Look, just because i dont support what they did, does not mean I dont support the team. That is just stupid. And I doubt any other fan feels any differently. It is pretty easy to separate the 2.

How do you know they haven't apologized to their teammates unless you are wanting them to give a public apology which would be ridiculous.
