Agreed I’m putting 5 on Alexander all game. Let the safeties crash in the run game and take away middle of the field plays, let woodland clamp their no.2 Pickett should have deuce from opening kickoff.

I don’t think it’s a bad matchup but I don’t think it’s a good one either. LSU has the pass rush & safeties to where all the pressure won’t be on Pickett. Pickett will have to slow him at the line too

Can’t say for sure because I haven’t seen 40 times but Pickett looks fast

Dj Pickett legitimately is one of the best corners in the country. Deuce a damn good wr but dj got the size and athleticism to suffocate him

Yeah people acting like LSU will be in cover 0 or 1 all night make me laugh.
Alexander will have a safety over the top of him most of the night.

Yeah but Alexander isn’t a sub 4.4 guy. He’s like DK Metcalf in that he’s not explosively quick, but when he hits his extra gear you aren’t catching him.

Don’t know where your getting your info from. Deuce ran a 21.61 100 meter in HS. Elite time but claiming he runs a sub 20 is false.Pickett covered him often last year and was in phase consistently LINK

I’m willing to bet a lot of money this isn’t true. There are probably 1k human beings in the world that run a true sub 20 second 200m

He did say they were both excellent cover corners and that in the case of Pickett, his length makes up for any straight speed deficiency (I'm paraphrasing) and that he has no doubt our secondary can cover.

Yes. We will have one guy deep on his route for sure. But pickett can push him around in the first 5 yards. Let our dline get an extra step. This game is all about disruption of their timing and tackling well. Whether its a sack opportunity or open field with lacy. Get them down
