I've already got my plane tickets booked. Would you recommend staying in Arlington, Dallas, or Fort Worth?

There is a good selection of hotels at various price ranges on the north side of DFW Airport. Plus over to the west in Grapevine is a good selection of mid-priced restaurants. (If you like Tex-Mex, try El Fenix. It's a local chain and is my g/f's favorite.) The only catch is there is MAJOR highway construction going on in that area.

I live just north of DFW Airport, and used to work in the area, so if you have any possible selections, just bring them to the board and I'll tell you what I think. I'll do all I can to make your stay pleasant (when LSU beats Oregon, you'll need all the comfort you can get).

Fort Worth is a little better night life in IMO. Newer and nicer downtown. I always feel safe in downtown fort worth. That's not always the case in Dallas. Plus the LSU team is staying at the Omni fort worth which is a beautiful hotel.

I can't wait! JJ is going to hang 70 on the Ducks. Passing yards I mean. Rush for another 65, in a big win for the Tigers. It'll be deja vu by means of a different set of Tigers this time.

There's one downtown near AAC. Are you counting the Uptown location (Inwood @ Lemmon) as the second one?

It's on the NE corner. I know someone who used to live near there until her hubby threw her out and replaced her with a 50-something crack whore.

Hard to say where Uptown ends, probably the Tollway. But it's the next nearest one to downtown (with the Oak Cliff location being 3rd).

Read the entire thread bud. someone said Oregon couldn't beat the SEC. I was simply reminding them about our trip to Knoxville last fall.

Congrats on the Tenn victory. Do you realize they have not mattered for a decade now? Playing Lsu isn't in the same area code. I think the posters point was: the media will say that if Oregon loses to Lsu. Lsu fans wouldn't be saying that, the media will. If you're butt Hurt over that, take that up with the media. Cause if you do lose in Dallas the chatter will start because that will be the 2nd straight loss to a legit sec program. Also, listen up tree hugger, Lsu doesn't need to ride coattails of anyone. See 2003 & 2007 national championship seasons and eat it. We are, however, proud to be affiliated with the SEC, who has won the past 5 titles.
