See vid at 2:00 minute mark, that's with 5 minutes left in the game:

For some LSU fans, you'd swear Miles created cancer.

I've seen more in Coach O over the last few weeks, than was ever in Miles. Adaptation, coaching, not sitting on a lead are a few of the examples. You can see over the past two games the players have a whole new attitude towards playing football.

Regardless of what Miles has done for the program or how good of a man he is, he's been holding back the program for years.

52-3 in 2011.

Mett took a knee with like 4 minutes in the game.

A true sign of Coach O v miles
Will be in how ready the team will be v ole piss. Miles never had LSU ready to play them (among others). Less talented ole piss teams played up and wanted to win more. They always want to beat us and miles coached teams act like it was not a big game. We shall see.

I can't agree with that. No doubt we laid some stinkers against Ole Miss under Miles, but we also had some good ones (double digit wins at Oxford in 2005, 2007, 2011, upset win at home in 2014). The reason Ole Miss has outperformed expectations lately on paper is simply that Freeze's recruiting had narrowed the talent gap and he had a better concept offensively and exploited his offensive talent better than Miles did.

If there's an opponent to test this theory of yours on, it's not Ole Miss, it's the piglets.

Ole Miss and Arkansas play LSU likes its the freaking Superbowl.

Ole Miss surely does, but Arkansas I'm not so sure. Yes, they consider it a big game and they get up for it, but the main problem we had with Arkansas under Miles is that we played like complete shite almost every time we faced them. Even some of his wins over them were absolutely terrible performances by the team. For whatever reason, his teams almost always saved their worst performance of the season for Arkansas. The fact that, even with this, he still somehow managed a winning record over Arkansas for his tenure, is simply a testament to the superiority of LSU's talent over that period.

All the Les Miles discussion aside, I suspect Coach O wants to make a statement after his unsuccessful stint at Ole Miss.

Obviously I am generalizing but you can understand my point. We often were not up for games v OM and ARK and most often are despite their talent level. This is a Big game and the team needs to pumped. I hope O can get them mentally prepared to play at a high level and expect OM to be pumped after a loss. If we play very well we should win but if not they will score 40 on us.

The 2013 Ole Miss game happened because Mett kept forcing passes to OBJ in double triple coverage and got picked 3 times in the first half.

this was a dumb statement.

considering he has coached here for over 10 years I can assure you he prepared the team at least one time.

No you just made shite up to prove a stupid point. This team just slept walked through the first half last week and Les ain't here anymore.

My entire life, LSU has played down to their opponent.

I wouldn't say "never", but I would say he didn't more often than not.
beat our arse in 08 in ts
"clock it" in 09
needing a ridley td inside 1 min in '10
needing the late obj return in 2012. "WOW! WHAT A GAME, HUH?!"
2013 no defense and "welter, the car chasing dog"
2015- they drank from our dead skulls.

TBH we never had a true gameplan with Miles. All Miles really did was march out the kids with his same predictable smash mouth football every game, every year.

Tap the breaks there. Look, I like the direction the team seems to be going in, but let's see how the team responses against Ole Miss first. While I think they will be ready to play and LSU will win, I still want to see it first. Coach O has met expectations in his first two games as HC, but you can't wrap 11 yrs into two games vs two average, at best, opponents.
