If we win and finish with a 9-4 record that would be a major save for this year.

He hasn't had more than 13 completions in any game. 14 would get the monkey off his back

Boy, they lost that close one to FSU and just completely went to shite.

It's pretty much been since the second quarter of the Navy game. Since then, we've played like one of the worst power 5 teams in the country.

Part of it has been injuries - we were throwing loads of third-stringers in there by the end of the season. By the second half of the USC game, we only had two of our projected starting 11 (and quite a few more from the 2 deep) from the preseason starting 11 on defense even taking snaps.

Part of it is that Golson thinks he's playing basketball and that a turnover is no big deal.

Part of it is that Kelly kind of sucks as a head coach and has a major boner for the passing game. I guarantee you that he'll come out and have Golson/Zaire/Whoever slinging it around 40+ times in that game against your #1-ranked pass defense while giving just a few touches to our 2 5-star RB's behind a OL loaded with talent.

We'll be getting some of our defense back between now and then, but...

You guys should win by 20+. We have gone completely in the tank.

Our offense has regressed steadily throughout the year.

We could probably put up 30 on Sam Houston and New Mexico State right now

Hell we could barely squeak out 23 against one of the worst defenses in sec history

Won't be easy. Our offense is easy to scheme for. They will sell out to stop Fournette. All will depend on the O line. If they can't block exceptional, it will be a tougher game than we think.

By looking at this schedule, it's inexcusable if our offense can't put up 30+

I don't think you realize just how bad we are on defense right now, especially along the defensive line. We could put eight or nine in the box, and you guys should still run for 250+. We'll probably be throwing 4 or 5 true freshmen in the two deep against you on the DL.

A&M has no defense either and somehow that game ended up close.

We lost to Northwestern, dude. That's 5 - 7, lost to Cal, Illinois, Michigan, and NIU, Northwestern.

We just got blasted by a team that wasn't even in the top 25 and is throwing out a 55 man roster right now.

I can't imagine you'll be having many problems.

The only reason that game ending close was LSU completely screwing themselves over. Well that and the refs BS pass interference call.

About the only thing I'd be very surprised to see happen is an ND blowout. It sounds like we'll get Riggs and Day back for LSU, which will help a lot. And I think the whole tail end of the season was kind of just a downward spiral. I think the month-long break could help.

Riggs is hopeful, but it doesn't sound that great for Day. Even if he plays, it probably wouldn't be much.

I indicated I wouldn't be surprised with an ND win, just a blowout. Contrarily, I wouldn't be surprised with an LSU win by any fashion. I think that's pretty reasonable.

Schemeing is easy, but executing is harder if you don't have the horses to do it.

A&M ha put 9 men in the box 2 years in a row, and we ran all over them. ND probably doesn't have the defense of A&M even at this point.
