As mentioned they all are inexperianced. What Burrow does more than anything is make Miles brennan and LN is maybe look at some of the things Burrow does in terms of film study and preperation and follow suit to improve their own odds of playing. Competition only helps the situation. Makes everyone better.

Burrow is the real deal. Gonna be fun to watch.
Can’t wait.

The more I hear about Joe Burrow the more excited I get. He's the real deal.

We didn't have much about Mettenberger either
The similarities between burrow and mettenberger stop at both being transfers. They're not even the same kind of transfer. Grad transfer quarterbacks are "end of the line" transfers. Juco or under grad transfers are "start over" transfers.
You knew ALOT about mettenberger. Strictly from a football standpoint, tons of film and a juco championship game.
You know nothing about burrow other than that he couldn't win the job.
Tons of measurable data on mettenberger. No measurable data on burrow.
They really have nothing at all in common.

How many of y'all have actually watched JB play?
I watched some of his spring games and mop ups.
Very accurate in low pressure situations. VERY accurate.

The only thing Mett had over Burrow is 2” and a stronger arm.
I take Burrow in pretty much every other trait/characteristic you want in a QB.
I never felt like Mett had that “it” factor.

I believe Burrow can be very good at LSU, the question is how soon will he be comfortable in the offense. That Auburn game will come quickly. I would tweek the offense to cater to his strengths.

I’ve been a Buckeyes fan for years. Now that Burrow is at LSU, I’m a Tigers fan as well. Once Burrow committed to Ohio State 4 years ago, I followed him during his senior year of high school. Here’s a link to his senior year highlights.
LINK Burrow HS Highlights
Any plays you see at Ohio Stadium are during the Ohio high school championship game for his division. Admittedly, high school is nowhere near the same as playing against elite college defenses, but he was high (over 70%) accuracy in high school, and maintained that accuracy at OSU.
Sure Burrow saw limited action at Ohio State, but he could easily have come into many more games if Meyer hadn’t kept Barrett in until very late in games. Meyer likes QBs who are explosive runners, so even though then QB coach and OC Tom Herman liked Burrow and recruited him, he was never a great fit in Meyer’s offense, because even though he is a decent runner, he’s not an explosive one.
I understand that there are a lot of doubters right now, but he was an elite high school QB, and there’s a decent chance he can be one at the college level as well. Wait till fall camp when he actually can show you his stuff wearing purple and gold before deciding.
I’m betting it’s going to be a race between Joe Burrow and Shea Patterson as to who will be the most successful transfer QB this year.

Looks like a pretty accurate passer to me. Quick release and hits the receivers in the numbers. I like him!

go watch all of the QB’s Spring game highlights. You will see a glaring difference b/w him and our current QB’s.
Having said that, I hope Burrow lives up to the hype. If his completion percentage holds up at SEC speeds, then pop the corks. Regardless, I hope one our QB literally runs away with the job. Call me an idiot, but I'm just not convinced yet who that will be.

He looked good in his highlight films.
I hope so. Otherwise they'd have to call them lowlights.

If you know what to look for, you can watch his spring game video online for the last 2 years and compare that to what you've seen at LSU in recent years in the spring games alone. You should be able to visibly see the difference. What you should see is very good and competent QB play.
It is a spring game though, but tOSU finished 8th in total defense last season, whereas LSU finished 12th in total defense.

No stat for smarts, decisiveness, and leadership.
If there was JaMarcus never would have been a #1 pick
Burrow got it
