Let's get real here. The constant bitching at having a 2 lose season is what is making LSU football not fun anymore.
That's the bottom line.

this gets my vote, for sure.

LSU football is still very fun. This board, however, can be depressing and can sap the life out of a winning lottery ticket.

"Dominant" sonnyboy? I don't call losing in 2 OT being "dominated" in any way shape or form.
Sorry, pops, I figured anyone with half-a-brain would realize that was sarcasm.

If the only way LSU football is any fun to these people is to win every game by a wide margin then it's a no win situation.
I like going to the games. I like sitting in TS. I like listening to the band. I like that we win against La Tech even with the worst QB performance I can remember.
Then I log on here and I hate football again. It's not because of Miles. It's because of the people that post on here that I'm actually starting to not like football anymore. These people are sucking all of the fun out of the room.

Nope. The bitching is the only thing that brings me down every single week. Win or lose there are multiple threads about how our coach/QB/O-coordinator/O-line is worthless.
I sat in front of two "coaches" Saturday night and listened to their game plan all night. I left early because I just couldn't take it anymore. They were depressing me. It was like I couldn't look at the field and be proud of the Tigers.
It's like actually wanting to enjoy the game was somehow wrong in their eyes. It's the same on here.

This board used to be fun until people like you put a strangle hold on it.
So your statements do not apply to me.
My displeasure has mostly been founded in recent events.

Also, if you would have read previous posts and taken what I said into context, you would have realized that I meant LSU was being dominant, not being dominated. Reading comprehension is important in a forum type discussion, pops.

Allowing other people to decide your happiness because they 'bitch' should be about a 2 on a scale of 1-10. Being pissed off because the coaches are not doing what they are supposed to be doing and the body of work that the team has put on the field should be about a 9 on a scale of 1-10.
I left early because I just couldn't take it anymore.
Reassess your scorecard.

I didn't read every page in this thread, but here's my two cents:
I think that climbing the mountain is more fun than trying to stay on top. What I mean is, every game, no matter what, was a big deal before we won the '03 NC. Since then, expectations have been vaulted higher, and anything less is a disappointment. Kind of like a drug I guess.
Plus, on offense we are winning because of our superior talent and not because of superior coaching. That has been hard to watch.
But it's still Tiger football on Saturdays in the fall, and I for one wouldn't trade it for anything else.

The truth hurts doesn't it sonnyboy. Your lack of any real response shows the world you and your ilk have NOTHING to stand on, other than your UNinformed opinions.

Football? No Fun? Maybe fans would be happy if LSU was a basketball school.
Watch out for that Nutt to the north east.

Do you remember UAB? Oh, that's right...that was [...my bad.

Saban and he never made mistakes or lost games
Geezus, you people need to come up with some new lines. This is like arguing with a 9 year old.

I get it. You are a bigger fan cause you like to bitch.
As far as my enjoyment not being tied to the absolute bullshite that was in my ear the entirety of the game, you have lost all perspective on what "fun" is. If "fun" to you is listening to how bad your team and coach is for 3 hours then you need to reaccess the situation. It wasn't enjoyable. Logging onto the Rant and reading all of these bullshite threads isn't enjoyable.

ETA: That's my last post on the subject. Just be reassured that you sir are part of the problem and not the solution. It is people like you that are making me log into TD.com less and less. And when I do log in I post less and less on this board.

quote:That's not fun, either. But if you are going to bitch about something, bitch about something that can affect change, i.e., the coaching and playing. Bitching about fan behavior is worthless, it doesn't affect anything.

Last year and this year have not been fun for me.
Posted on 11/16/09 at 2:00 pm to Katy Tiger
Thank you Katy Tiger. A simple and honest response. Other than 2 games last year, and 2 games this year, the fun train left the station a long time ago.
