Yes. It still hurts.
Bama wasn't the better team. They were just 100 times more ready to play that day.

Yeah, Only the most important one
The most important game is the first game of the season. Let me remind you that Miles is the only LSU head coach to ever, ever get the football team to 13-0. We won the west, something even the "entitled Bama fans" can't state. Nor can they say they won the SEC. This all means nothing?
Some of you make it sound like someone ran over your dog or something.
"I'll never get over it. Woe is me. It will scar me for life."
It's a damn game. With accomplishments come disappointments. It's inevitable. It will happen.

part of me says that bama was the better team, but we won at their place so we finished 1-1, we lost the game that was for all the marbles. it just kills me to 13-0 and the freakin last game of the season we looked like a 6-5 team in the independence bowl.
after the first game tidefans.com banned lsu fans i would go back and read posts etc, i haven't ventured over there since the loss and probably won't - so maybe they did me a favor. maybe i'll return this fall.

All the people saying that they are over the loss because we are coming back even stronger next season and will have another chance at the title, here's a news flash: Nothing is certain in college football. Anything could happen. We have to play Bama this year and every fricking year with Saban on the other sideline for the foreseeable future.
You don't get chances like we had this year often. You take it and give it your best shot when you have it. Les could win 2 more national championships at LSU, or he may never win another one again. His team had a chance to go down in history as one of the best teams ever, but he blew it. What hurts is his inflexibility to try anything different at all. No idea what was going through his mind during that game. We may never see a regular season like that ever again. God, I am still butthurt. Typing this only made me madder.

I'm over it. On a side note I don't enjoy the SEC rant anymore and look forward to it going off on its on away from TD.

I just wish I knew who that team was on the field that night.
It was not any team I had seen this year.

I certainly am not over it. We played like Pop Warner in the NC game. Not taking anything away from Bama, they deserved to win!

first , I will never get over it . second , l s u won the sec west and went on to win the best conference in college football . as far as bama being a better team , I say that is bullshite . les miles quit on his team and his fans.

What bothers me most about this is that an SEC team and its coach blatantly undermined the onfield results of conference play simply because their egos couldn't handle losing to us in their home stadium. What's worse is that Slive and those running the conference went along with it.
Never once did Bama congratulate us for the regular season win. Instead, they acted like a team beating them in BDS was no big deal. I used to respect Bama, their fans, and their program. No more. They are bunch of bullies who can't handle other schools in the conference being successful on the national level.
THAT's what I'm upset about. I expect on the field results to matter in conference play. I'm pissed because we did what we had to do to represent the SEC to the nation in the national championship game, not to represent the SEC against a squad from our own conference that we had already beaten in their back yard. We did not get to enjoy the spoils of being the SEC champion and it drives me crazy.

It was the unprepared and unmotivated team which the coaches presented to us in the SECC game. The only difference was that in the NC game the opponent was much better than in the SECC game.

Not over it. Don't know when.
I can't shake the feeling that, that game was program defining. In a bad way. It's already spilled over into recruiting
