We've named a few people here, did you read the thread, or are you just being a prick to be a prick?

No. My point is that it's not really all that uncommon for NONE of the guesses to be right and for the hire to still work out.

I say this because people like to be dismissive of any people named as if those are the only possibilities for success.

His record is almost .500 I could name several coaches who started off .500 or worse their first NFL job. I fail to see how it was a failure though, he wasn't great but he wasn't horrible either

Sure it could.

LSU would look horrible when Saban inevitably declined the offer.

He's not leaving Bama for anymore coaching gigs. The day he leaves Bama will be for "retirement".

Okay, but you jumped my shite for nothing - it's not like we're all holding a press conference tomorrow to announce a replacement. It's a discussion...

Feel free to join in, if you wish.

I don't think anyone would have opposed Saban, everyone who followed college football knew who Saban was and he was already on NFL radars.

I knew him as the head coach who Dinardo beat in the Indy Bowl......before we fired Dinardo.

Rummy, I'm sorry for the hijack

Could you weigh in on this LINK

No other admin did. Just anchored it

As you can see I have only contributed to this board today regarding football. Am I not supposed to post here?
