Really good points. I just can’t believe it turned out to be the mirror image of the 2017 KRob play.

Really, the first thing you said is all that matters. He was going on contact as instructed

More important to be a full go home and back door slide

Didn’t need to go on contact with 0 outs and all the mo.

If he stays put you have runners on 2nd and 3rd with 1 out

Then the guy starts the double play to 2b and you are really upset you have 2 outs and a runner on 3rd

Actually, you could claim it didn't, because the 3rd baseman double clutched and moved further outside the base path to create an angle. Tre moved toward the inside of the base path.

You could say that the third baseman had to move further outside because Tre moved to the inside, but if Tre had stayed towards the outside of the plate, the throw would have had to have been more to the inside and the catcher would have had to stretch to make a tag. The problem is that Tre ran right over the mitt. Basically, all the cather had to do was catch the ball and Trey practically bumped into the mitt. It was a helluva snag by the catcher, though.

He gets tagged out trying to return and Beloso is thrown out easily thereafter

Wrong. He was hugging the line short of the bag with momentum carrying toward the dugout. No way they turn two...

dont try to make your opinions facts

I’ll say this every time it’s brought up:

Tre’s slide was fricking terrible . I mean, he came in on his knees and tried to reach over for the plate.

A decent slide to the back corner and he’s safe 10 times out of 10.

Tape doesn’t lie. Wasn’t hugging the line, and he was even with the bag.

Again, this was done on purpose so that he had a better throwing lane to home. He immediately sees Morgan running, and he made a predetermined choice to field the ball in this manner. The ball could have been backhanded to start a double play if the circumstances called for it.

The still frame you just posted clearly shows he’s stepping back, and is still in front of the bag.

If he stretches to slide into home as he should have that throw probably hits him. Lots of “ifs” on that play.

There is “infield in” positioning, and “even with the bag” positioning.

He was playing even with the bag. Takes a step back to create better angle depth on ball

I’m aware, thanks.

He was still closer to an in position than even with the bag positioning. You’re wrong. Move on.

you are the perpetual clown of this board. Since you have no job, go back to your dvr and freeze frame it where he caught the ball and released it. He was hugging the line when he CAUGHT the ball. Cant throw it till you catch it.

Let me explain in terms you can understand. You can hit the X button before the ball is caught, but it wont throw it until your playstation character actually catches it. You certainly cant believe what you post.
