I don't say this to be hard on Brennan, but he is lucky that the stadium is limited in the amount of fan attendance .
Had he been playing in front of 100k fans he would have done much worse given the fact crowd noise and shock would have been a major factor.
I like the kid and want him to improve but I don't think he has the "it" factor.

You can see a few things from these shots
1. he is staring down his first progression
2. He is not used to pressure and it freaks him out
However,Orgeron and Ensminger should have gone heavier on the run game to keep Brennan comfortable and not have it all on him to win the game...this was essentially his first start since he was at St Stanilaus.

I really had high hopes for Mississippi Myles

He was zeroing in on one primary receiver the whole game. The check down pass in the flat to his left was open the entire game but he never saw it. Some of this is poor coaching. They should have noticed we had guys open time and again and called some screens and passes in the flat to get him comfortable with those throws. The short to medium passing game was almost non existent

I'm aware. But still that's not how you break down tape.

I saw zero pockets in those pics

This should get people off of Ensminger’s arse. They were calling the right plays.

The film review is going to be brutal.

Recurring LSU nightmare at QB...

Guys. He has a everyone gets a trophy mentality. He "put it all on the line" is Little League talk. Don't tell me how hard you "tried," tell me what you got done. That don't feed the bulldog!! 'Nuff said.

I seen this live & was livid with Brennan, he just don’t have it up stairs to play the position

Don’t forget the one when Kirklin was wide open coming across the middle near the goal line & Brennan made a dumb decision. And the INT he threw when his arm got hit, if he wasn’t so late on decision making that was going to be a nice completion.
Also Brennan never steps up in the pocket, he actually creates pressure by breaking the pocket.

Go look at the 3rd and goal sack. Two guys on the left wide open.

Jenkins (#10) was open right off the bat but Brennan only look was to the left side of the defense. He stared down Davis-Price who was never going to be open inside of scanning the entire field.
Here's Brennan staring down Davis-Price. Ball should have already been coming out towards Jenkins.

Missed opportunity

Lots of posters are giving Brennan a pass for having his arm hit on his 3rd quarter INT but he needed to feel the pressure & move up in the pocket to get off a good throw. You can see the lane he has to step up into as both MSU ends get up the field.

McMath is already by the corner at this point. The safety providing help over the top is flat footed at this moment. Both Bulldog defenders are burnt toast.

John Emery is wide open underneath as well

Instead of stepping up in the pocket, avoiding the pressure & hitting McMath for a TD, Brennan's takes a hit & his deflected pass gets picked off.

Here's another drive that stalled from a missed opportunity from Brennan. Myles has a clean pocket & all day to throw.

Jenkins is coming across the middle on a deep in route. His defender is in the trail position. If it’s just a completion, it's a 25+ gain. If he leads Jenkins & hits him in stride, there's potential for a TD off the YAC.

Instead of a strong, accurate throw, Brennan throws a ball that digs up earthworms.

Terrance Marshall gets matched up against a LB here. Major mismatch that favors the Tigers.
Again, the ball needs to come out quickly here with Brennan leading Marshall with his throw where he can continue to run away from the LB. There is a MSU defender to the right but that defender has his back turned to the LOS, covering another receiver.

Brennan holds onto the ball missing the opportunity for YAC only to take a sack.

And still, he threw for more yards than any game of Burrow's first year, minus the bowl game.
Burrow's first year we were running a prehistoric offense.... There is no comparison!!!! Give it up all you assholes saying Burrow was not good, blah blah, etc. in his first year. Our offense was the remnants of Les Miles' offensive offense.
In our 2019 offense and hopefully our current is the same, Brennan is light years away from how efficient Burrow could run it. Sure he had 345 yards, but he is doing some happy feet dances, looks nervous, throwing some wounded ducks, holds onto the ball too long, etc. etc.

this was the same offense from last year he just cant run it.
The RPO was gutted from this offense in the first half - lost track in the second half. The RPO, or the threat of it, was a significant factor in the '19 offense.

I saw many these myself and others where timing and confidence is required. The rout tress were on point just need a triggerman.
