A bit of perspective

Before the start of last year, if I had asked you this simple question, how many of you would have taken it?
2019-2020 you get a perfect season, beat bama so bad that mid 3rd qtr game was out of reach, and crush everyone along the way, but the next season (2021) you will go 0-12?
Every single one of us would have taken that without even thinking twice. It sucks what has happened, but the reality is that given the circumstances we shouldn't even have a season this year.
Honestly, the person that I feel the worst for is Miles Brennan. He has stayed the course, never hit the transfer portal, and had 2 years to ball out, and his NFL 1st round receiver bails. It's sad to see a player that does everything right get screwed over.

yeah titles are awesome. love them.
but 3-8 was fricking terrible.
and that wasn’t following a title.
2-9 was goddamn miserable.
0-12 would be embarrassingly bad.

I can only speak for myself but with the impact of COVID-19 and the inflamed overreaction of the “social justice” issues, the importance of following College and Professional sports has seriously been diminished from my perspective. As both an LSU & Saints fan since as far back as my memory allows, I experienced a magical National Championship run with a team for the ages and a SuperBowl win without these drama backdrops. I’ll always have at least that. I’ll watch but with nowhere near the level of enthusiasm as before.
