Still one million less than Will Muschamp.
He’s been paid a total of 22 million dollars in buyout money alone.
15 million from Florida
7 million from South Carolina
Is this for real?!? How many jobs in America do you get paid that much to bad. Frick these head coaches. It’s like a weatherman…you get paid regardless of whether you are good or bad. Difference is it’s millions of dollars.

Let’s sum up your week
1. Ed isn’t getting fired
2. Ed will get 100% of buyout
3. SW is to blame for T9 investigation
4. SW is to blame for Ed’s failure on the field
5. SW is to blame for Eds poor coaching staff
6. Ed is going to Alabama to be DL coach, bringing recruits and players
7. LSU will become Tenn.
Impressive

Head coaches?
I'm not sure but its quite possible that Bo Pelini per minute worked might have been the highest paid coach of all time.
If you're going to frick me that hard, at least have the common courtesy to give me a reach around!

Nick Saban will never allow Edward around his program under any circumstances.

the funny part of the negotiating of the buyout will be IF Ed thinks he is going to get another coaching gig. If he thinks yes, he will agree to a lower amount and leave all of the dirt alone/quiet. If his self awareness has gotten better, then he knows this will be his retirement payout. thus, he will fight for more.
He has zero bargaining position. Go read his contract. And look at the fact there was a skipped bowl and Cregg…

Yes, let's go with that, kind of like how Ed's best buddy wasn't allowed anywhere around the program and even kept him around even when acted like a jack arse. He gave zero fricks.
Its called the coaches rehab for a reason. frick, he even hired Butch (probably the second most hated guy in college football after Ed's buddy)

I’ve got to hand it to will. The man loves the game. Can’t believe he’s still working.

Nick doesn't make the same mistake twice. He knows what both of those clowns are about. At the very least, Lane brought something to the table. Ed - to those guys- is just the hired help. Nick isn't going to bring a lazy, backstabbing, jack arse with the skill set & morals of a used car salesman into his program. Ed's fate is sealed. He gets fired, he'll never coach again.

jonboy,
Did you see the LSU players try on their new experimental jerseys for next year yet? Different for sure.
Baskerville and Clark: WTF, where are ours jerseys?
Ed: You can wear the old one, we ran out. But if we need some guys for the track and field team, we'll let you know. Geaux Tide!!!

It's 350k per month through Dec 2025.
So right now there are 52 months left. Wait til Dec 1st and it'll be 49. $17.1m.
But as stated. That's not what will be paid out

I hate it as much as anyone, but I truly believe he would try to get O.
There’s a reason it bothers you so much. Because you don’t want it to happen. Because it would be bad for us and good for Alabama. Which means Saban probably wants it too. It sucks, but it’s true.

*tried*. Freeze is a douchebag of a different sort then Ed. O could never work of Saban & they both know that. Roll tide? frick you! still reverberates.

Do you care if he brings on O? If O brings nothing to the table, does it matter?
I will say that I don’t think the impact will be nearly as bad as our friend geauxfightingtigers1 here
, but yes. I do think Bama would reach out to him. I also think Georgia and aTm would as well. Whether or not O takes the job or wants the job, I don’t know. But teams will want him in a minimal analyst role for Louisiana recruiting. But if we hire a good hc, the impact could be minimal. But fallout is very possible.
It’s not a reason to not make a move. Just have to have recruiting in mind with the new hire.

Exactly what I was thinking. Reasoning for not letting him go is you don't want him at Alabama? The man is clearly in over his head. As the product on the field continues to nose dive, the one thing he is good at (recruiting) will deteriorate. Having more talent was what got he and Les over to begin with. The coaching staff is his now and college football has become more of a business. The kids we are trying to kid are not only looking at Bama anymore. A & M is deep in our yard as well and Texas will be too. He has brought us down from the inside going back to undermining Les and convincing Alleva he was the man for the job since it was his dream. Alleva fell for it and it's clear he caught lightning in a bottle 2 years ago. Let him go to Bama. First, I think Saban is too smart to bring him on, but if he does, maybe he can blow them up from within too.

I seriously doubt that he get anything if he gets Titled IX'd. There has to be a clause for "termination with cause" in there.
