That damn Clemson loss really fricked up some impressive numbers.
Going into that bowl game, Les' record was:
36-1 = The Hat's record against non-conference teams
5-2 = The Hat's Bowl Record
21-2 = The Hat's record in night games away from Tiger Stadium
31-3 = The Hat's record when LSU has a 100 yard rusher
44-5 = The Hat's record when LSU wins the turnover battle
66-7 = The Hat's record when leading at the half
79-9 = The Hat's record when scoring 20 or more points; (including 21 straight and 31 of the last 32)
50-3 = The Hat's record when holding opponents under 100 yards rushing
4-0 = The hat's record against the ACC
7-3 = The Hat's record after November
And a loss was added to each one

85-21 = The Hat's Overall Record at LSU; (3rd fastest in SEC History to 80 wins)
Means nothing these days when each team plays 73 more games a season

But this fact:

Of all the LSU Coaches to coach at least 25 games, his winning percentage of 80.2 is the highest of All-Time
eliminates that argument though

speedy, thank you for the update. it is always a thrill to see this post.
Since the beginning of the 2011 season, LSU has played more ranked teams than any school in the nation with 16 and has beaten more ranked teams over that span than any team in the nation with 12.

But, but, but....
We need to be more wide open.
We should have 600yds offense every game.
Les cant manage the clock.
Les mis-evaluates talent.
Russel Shepard.
Secret Playbook.
I always love this thread. The negatigers never show up.

Lots of sunshine there to pump...
Every team and every coach has down years, but this is a great era of LSU football under Les Miles. He deserves every bit of credit for those numbers. Period.
Now with Cam and Chavis helping run the show, we are going to remain as dangerous as ever.
