The only 2 players at LSU that were high school QBs and played different position were Joseph Addai and Russell Shepard.
Terrence Magee, Skyler Green, Kevin Faulk. I'm sure some others as well.
Maybe not as common as it one was, but those weren't "the only".

You're correct. I typed too quickly.
I meant to say the only players that I "remember" that played QB in high school and switched positions at LSU.
How could I forget Kevin Faulk?

I just want us to be able to run the ball. So if he needs to do some sort of Wildcat to move the chains I'm down.

Dude brought the moves, I say we roll with him on anything around end.

Tredavious white was a qb, one of the best position changes we've made although it was known in HS

Yeah, but that was a no brainer "position change". He was a 5 star CB.
Mo Claiborne was a HS QB/ athlete recruit whose position was a bit more up in the air (though putting him at CB happened almost immediately after he got to LSU).

I don't think you watch high school football much. A lot of times, especially at smaller schools, high school coaches play their best athlete at qb since they will then get to touch the ball on every play. There have been a ton of players at LSU (and every other university) that played qb at high school but projected at other positions.

Shepard's was mixed, mainly due to Les Miles offensive philosophies.
People like to blame Les Miles for Russell Shepard but the fact it that staff knew he didn't have a future at qb and they found him a position where he could have a 6+ year nfl career which allowed him to receive NFL pension benefits.

Tell that to CBK & SLOAN
Yeah what the hell does the head coach and the OC know about a player they see and coach everyday everyday. BK and Sloan need to spend time on this board to learn more about football and who when and where to play them. Yeah what the hell do they know.

Ju Juan Johnson is what we need as we absolutely need speed at RB to bounce it outside bc our OLine cant block for shite in running.
Agree. He has the ability to make something out of nothing. So far, I haven’t seen any other RB that is as dynamic his JJ. I think he deserves a shot. I’d love to hear someone make an
argument otherwise.

B...B...B...But CBK doesn't play young guys

Kid got a taste of the End Zone, in Tiger Stadium, at night. He won’t want to be a DB anymore
I feel terrible for Emery, but the result may work out long term for LSU.

If our tackles are the strength of the line this makes sense. They should be able to seal the edges and give him some opportunities on outside runs

Is the best player on lsu's team. He should be on the field every down. He is a winner and a game changer. He is the closest thing to HB7 in many years. He should be Returning punts/ko's rb Slot Wr Db He was/is better than any other lsu player currently on the team coming out of hs. Almost 15 thousand all purpose yards as a player says so
I normally hate these type of comments but you gotta be his dad or something

So your take is coaches are never wrong about anything lmfao. I hope you never criticize your kids teacher, a cop, a fricking referee, or anyone in any profession for that matter. What an asinine position to take

I disagree with this. He surely can't be the 10th best player in our DB room that is 3 stars and Grambling St type transfers across the board.
A- We have some talented young guys at Safety in Jackson and Spears who just know the position better than he does.
B- Johnson is still learning the position. That’s the only reason he’s further down the depth chart.
C- He was cross-training as a Star in camp, as well. He might have seen a few snaps there.

I’d like to see him get more involved. If we can’t run the ball efficiently…why not use screens and short passes as a running game.

JJ looks promising. Caden Durham will transfer out. That's the first thing I thought when JJ got touches and scored.
No way CD came here as a RB to watch a DB get more run at RB than him.
