LSU clearly was the better team tonight but some of these judges give this sport a really bad look. It feels like quality in judging has really gone downhill all over the place.

Couldn’t we have subbed in somebody. Would have been great experience for one of the younger girls!

It’s a double meet weekend. Didn’t make sense to compete a 6th when we need to save our bodies for Sunday

My thought too. Why not let someone get a chance to perform in front of a huge crowd? Would have been a great learning experience.

Can you change the lineup though at that point!?

I thought it was to be submitted before the rotation officially begins. If the lineup turned in had Kiya on it, not sure they can change it in the middle of the rotation.

If LSU changed it last minute after warm ups, it probably would have been fine but there was no way knowing if we would need Kiya or not so not much you can do.

Haleigh, Livvy and Aleah all with only 2 pass floor routines. Smart move.

So he listened - changing aleah’s beam dismount and doing two passes for haleigh! She was shaky on them tonight but it’s going to be huge dividends for us I think going forward.

This team is beginning to shape up well. That was the best beam rotation was have had in three years, abs I fully believe it was because we had super solid sets in 1-3 - I don’t know that kiya has ever anchored beam where she wasn’t working at least against dropping a 9.7 - I think this was an excellent step forward!

I think we were probably a bit overscored (aleah on floor, probably haleigh on floor - and Edwards on vault), but it was a great meet and Dunne really impressed me with her floor routine. I am of a mind to say she should maybe replace Alyona who can sometimes look chaotic.

The only thing I’ll say is in the end 3 10.0 vaults aren’t going to cut it. Ideally you have alyona back and maybe find another 1.5 or let KJ try the double!

Finally, yikes Elena’s pak. We should go back to the drawing board there - I wonder who the second alternate is and if they will get a chance on Sunday.

Aleah has a beautiful floor routine but that last pass seems to be a pain, specific the punch front. Idk what they can do to fix it.

I’d give Aleah a shot on bars on Sunday. Roll with it and get her experience. Unless she is falling in practice there is no way that bar set is worse than Arenas.

I get the sense they are just not pushing the 10.0 vaults. Not sure why but that will be a disadvantage at nationals, scoring potential goes down. If you don’t stick the full it’s going to get hit. I know we were missing Alyona but I think KJ can upgrade.

I like Alyona, but this is just how I would describe her. Not as polished as some of the other routines. Chaotic is a good word. But we certainly need her. And I like that she doesn’t seem to let nerves get the best of her.

Wanted to add that I thought Dunne looked really good tonight. Good to see her have a shot on floor.

That was a pretty dang good routine for Dunne

So is she actually a legit gymnast? 9.9 is pretty damn good.

She’s always been legit since her elite days. There’s a reason she’s at LSU on scholarship
