Lol if there is one position and player not to worry about it’s Nuss.

He would have been 3-7 with a long of 8 yards without his completion to Trey. Not knocking Nuss, I’m complimenting the defense but of course you people can’t differentiate the two.

Most encouraging thing I took away from locked on lsu (moscona ) podcast on today’s practice was that Barion Brown is really really good and he has no idea how he wasn’t used more at Kentucky.

Moscona has said it multiple times. It’s a pretty simple answer, he was in a bad offense that didn’t throw the ball…

Set the pace up front boys and impose your will on the opposition.

That is not usually what occurs. Defenses are usually ahead of offenses because timing among players (passing game) and teamwork in blocking (OL) usually don't jell very early in practice or early in the season for that matter. You more to welcome to worry about that issue...I'm not at all.

I watched Barrion Brown’s highlights and thought he was best receiver we got out of the portal. Great route runner. Creates lots of space. Very fluid receiving the football. I think he’s lights out this season.

Take away his completion from Tredez and he had a meh day. Hopefully this is a sign of the D coming together!

I mean take away everyone’s stats and they all have “meh” days

Offense is typically a lot better than defense early in camp but the offensive stats say otherwise. Nuss stats are glaring for a couple reasons. Still nervous in the pocket with bad protection or not seeing the field. This is a good WR group, completions should not be hard to come by. Durham is head and shoulder above the rest. I’m rooting for Jackson but he’s looking like the same guy. Depth at the RB position is a concern.
so, you were at practice? Pretty detailed assessment of Nuss. How were you there. What did they do inside? What runs did Durham look good on?

so we take away the good stats and stats are worse? Shocker.

I have watched Carter Power Hour and the Moscato show, and seems like Cade is ready for a monster year.

DE position is going to be in the backfield this year.

TE and WR positions are deep and ready.

This is kind of what Will Cambell said last year about running the football. I honestly hope that is different this year. It’s mandatory to establish that run game even with all the WR threats.

Scona said Nuss was 7/10 on the day and charted the throws. There were was a throw away which he stated was what Kelly wanted (a zero play) which means no negative result, a break up on good coverage and another one on a sideline throw to Zavion.

Either way, the overreaction to every little tidbit that comes out of camp is pretty standard every season.

Only way your post has credibility is if you were at practice. Were you?

I suppose some can't rationalize the difference between the first week of practice in fall camp and the last week prior to a game.

Pretty sure you have this backwards.

I know BK wants to reduce soft tissue injuries but we need to be tackling.
Do teams typically tackle when not in full pads? Because they can’t go full pads until day 6 or 7 of camp.

I just listened to Buddy and Scarborough's practice report.
Takeaways:
-DL is looking legit. Buddy thinks they will create consistent pressure and the D gets 40+ sacks
-OL is improving, but still a work in progress. Expect Nuss under pressure, especially vs Clemson, but he did not seem concerned with long term. he did say multiple times though that Nuss will have to work through pressure
-He also said emphatically that if LSU uses the offensive playcalling they have so far, they beat Clemson
-He thinks Durham has a very good shot to be 1st team all SEC when season ends
-Sharp looks outstanding at TE and will be a major part of offense
-Brown and Hill have impressed at WR
-Pencil in Cooley and Haulcy as starting safeties and Haulcy looks great
-Delaine and Stamps are the starting CBs
-PJ Woodland looks very good, but is still smallish
-Overall the team is well ahead of where they were this point last season
-The physicality is far more evident during practice despite not being in full pads
-Baker has a D now that he can use to his design which is aggressive, attacking style

Buddy is usually more negative or critical in a lot of his reports. He seemed almost giddy about the team. I hope he's right
