Revenue should be distributed in accordance with the revenue generated by that sport. Football players should be distributed a portion of the revenue taken in by the football program, same for baseball, basketball, track etc.

When you’re the best modern day program with the best modern day coach and the best fans in college baseball, and it gives you the best opportunity to achieve your dreams, that’s what matters most to the right guys. And that’s the guys that Jay wants. Bc when it’s tough in fall or spring, when you’re asked to play a role that may be below your talent level, you don’t want to rely on a kid who may make a business decision. You need guys who want more than just the NIL money.

Baseball should be right up there ahead of any basketball.

This issue is f we are truly going by rev share it has to go by who makes money. And the sad thing is most programs operate in losses.

This is the old number before the new Woman's basketball TV contract went into effect plus expenditure may have changed. Does anyone have the updated numbers to see what the current P/L is? I'm sure it is still losing but hopefully much less.

Baseball season ends the fiscal year, so the new numbers haven't been released yet.
LSU should be releasing it's annual revenue report pretty soon though.

Only two sports operate at a profit, football and men's basketball. MB only operates at a profit because LSU has gone cheap; They spend more money on women's basketball, which by far posts the largest loss. Baseball broke even in 2023, so you may see something similar this year, but they typically lose about $2m per year.

Split should be:

Football 75%
Basketball (M) 10%
Baseball 5%
All other sports 10%
