Apparently the security guard doesn't speak Jive. See, in "Jive", Guice's words mean, "How do you do? Pleased to meet you."
June Cleaver would immediately get this joke.

I don’t know what happened between Guice and this woman, but this incident, the broader HB report, and even some of the potential connections between Will Wade and the FBI make LSU look bad and as an outsider makes me wonder if there is a lack of institutional control.
If I were an LSU / TAF donor, I’d be calling for the removal of at least some admin related to these instances and wouldn’t settle for suspensions. I doubt the NCAA would do anything too badly to LSU related to sanctions, but the LSU brand is hurting on the national stage. The school and fan base’s focus should be on rehabilitating the university’s image and not on determining the credibility of an old woman.

Well with the amount of fake stories that have come out over the years most of us are gun shy of accusations without any evidence
I think the allegations are probably true but we shouldn't start ruining people based off 'probably true' stories
This was at the height of the MeeToo movement so it wasn't like women were shamed for coming forward
You're am administration for the school, one of your most well known athletes has an accusation made against him but the only evidence is the accusation itself, what do you do? If you drop the hammer, and it later comes out at the allegations were fake (Duke LaCrosse) you've potentially fricked up some kids life over nothing but if they are true you're sweeping rape under the rug. shite sandwich all around

None of this one makes sense.
She also recommended his punishment to not play in a bowl game?
Something odd with this one

Let me pimp out my supposed trauma for the current hot story to get clicks and boost my career...female writers like this are pathetic.
That article is almost 8 months old lol, and barely got any attention. It should have been much bigger, I don’t even know if Bonnette was asked about it

You seriously think the shaming of women for coming forward ever stopped?

Considering the volume of high profile fake accusations I'd say so

Uhh that’s a pretty insane text to send a reporter from a national publication.

You still have to follow follow proper procedures and protocol which it looks like two of the LSU staff members who were suspended didn’t do. Hence, that’s where people’s suspicions come in.

Here is where I'm 100% on board
This should've been investigated as thoroughly as possible, even if the investigation was likely to turn up nothing
They should have asked to see the text messages from Guice and thoroughly interviewed any potential witnesses, even if they were unlikely to implicate their teammate

Guice had a troubled history in high school so LSU was already on full notice.

I think this gets to the broader issue. As ridiculous as the back and forth between F. King and the LSU Board was last week, he's not entirely wrong, and there's clearly some issues with the culture at LSU.
F. King hadn't had a chance to do anything - positive or negative - at Oregon State, but that board cut him loose because they recognized the damage that a story like this can do to the broader institution in terms of student recruitment, faculty recruitment, and fundraising.

So #metoo didn’t start several years ago and definitely wasn’t in the public sphere when this article was published? You are both a dick and an idiot.

Exactly. Now, the university and the athletic department will carry the full responsibility of whatever happens next. If you’re hired to work compliance, the least you can do is follow the proper steps. Then, if nothing comes up, you did your due diligence. Case closed. The higher ups at LSU should know better.
You all know what happened to our former softball coach in Lafayette. The fanbase was divided on that drama to the point where some scapegoated our AD who had just started a few months before that. But at the end of the day, as much as fans loved the guy, the athletic compliance team had to report the findings to the university HR department which in turn gathered the evidence against him that he finger poked a female strength coach a little too much while ranting about whatever he was ranting about. It cost him his job.

Don’t know the real story, but she said she didn’t know how her story came out since she wasn’t interviewed for the report.

I think it's well established that O is one of those people who just can't stay out of their own way.

Not any longer. He is a poster child victim for antifa/BLM against the white supremacy system which caused his mental illnes

Sooo there is no proof and it’s just her word against his? I guess we no longer have due process in these types of situations.

I don’t remember Jamis Winston being under so much scrutiny for “grab her by the P”
Just sounds ridiculous to me. Why would you get “assaulted” and request he doesn’t play in bowl game. I call bullshite here
