I mean It’s terrible because of the other stuff he is accused of.

Catcalling an old lady, which shorty and unacceptable behavior, isn’t getting you suspended.

Yep. Imagine being angry at an athlete for making a sexual comment.

If this was really a terrible thing, there would be few athletes eligible to play.

It's not cool, but it's not something to be upset about.

Saying something inappropriate is not against the law. It's not even news worthy.

All of this is on the word of one 74 year old lady? I’m not saying she’s lying. I’m just pointing out that her supervisors weren’t that concerned and the media didn’t follow up on her claims. Is there a reason it wasn’t taken seriously by them?

who is emotional telling this story, said she couldn't get anywhere with the cops and couldn't find an attorney to represent her.

Not buying her story.
The bold part is completely unbelievable.

Now, if she really means she couldn't get any prosecutors to pursue the case... I believe that. Those guys suck.

But couldn't find ANY attorney to help her pursue a civil suit against a P5 and then NFL player for what has turned out to be a string of sexual harassments/assaults in this climate, in Louisiana? I don't believe that for one second.

It’s a problem if Ed O, Verge, and Miriam lied to the investigators when they said Orgeron was not aware of the Superdome incident

Cajun “frog voice”?

I would assume most Cajuns would find this comment offensive. But USAToday is ok with publishing it.

Right! And the local news doesn't jump on it. At 74, she knew enough to want him out of a huge revenue making game...

That's your takeaway from this story?

Grandma gets cussed out and thoroughly disrespected by POS who happens to be star running back for LSU.

And Cajuns should be up in arms because Grandma says Coach O got dat frog voice.

Coach O just a lonely frog
Ain't got no home

I'm sure that reference will be totally lost on most but screw it.

Orgeron wouldnt be the one to call her
Im guessing she is lying.

No coach at lsu would call a woman over an indecent proppodal. If so, they would never get anything done.

Again, Guice might be a shithead but this is nothing. If he didnt touch or pressure her, no foul.

Let me ask y'all something serious.

Why would a 70+ year old black woman be making this shite up about a young black man? Why would she just randomly set out to ruin his career?

Put your thinking cap on and think real hard about this.

Why would she go in front of a legislative committee today and testify about this?

She said herself she tried to put the incident behind her until it was dug up by Husch Blackwell's report earlier this month.

She says all she wanted was some accountability, not an apology (which would have been total bullshite anyway as Guice claims he did nothing of the sort).

quote:

Scott said she didn’t want an apology; she wanted accountability. She said Orgeron and Lewis begged her to let Guice apologize, saying he was sad and had his head down. Scott said she refused to speak to him.

When Scott suggested Guice sit out the upcoming Citrus Bowl, she said, Orgeron promised to get back to her but never did.

quote:

“I was never trying to get no money from them,” Scott said. “I only asked him not to play in that game. If he wouldn't have played in that game, I'd have been satisfied.”

Scott’s granddaughter also said her grandmother never asked about money. After LSU brought up legal action, she said, her grandmother decided to drop the issue.

“It was never about money,” the granddaughter said. “She was disrespected and humiliated and just felt he should sit out that game. So for them to come on that level and say, ‘You’re trying to extort us out of money,’ she decided to leave it alone, leave it in God’s hands. It’s a situation that’s just left a sour taste in our mouths.”

All Guice has to do now is try to steal a taser from a cop, then he’ll have statues dedicated to him.

Sorry but this person does not get to decide punishment. This happened one week snd she demanded a suspension the next week? World does not work that way. Guice was at a private event not representing LSU at the time. Guice was not her boss. He had no relationship with her to which sexual harassment laws would apply. It could be an asssult under Louisisna law but the police were called and refused to arrest. So she thinks she could just demand LSU suspend him cause she wants it? Guice may be a piece of crap but this is not an LSU issue. It was a police issue. She can’t get on tv and cry about them so she will try to mess with LSU.

I think the lady is being overly dramatic at this point, but it is something to be upset about if it happened like she said. You respect your elders as long as they are not harming anyone. Also, it's much more intimidating for an older lady for some strong football player to be telling her sexual shite and disrespecting her. If anyone had made Guice accountable for his actions in college, maybe he wouldn't be an outcast whose career is done already while he faces criminal charges.
