Pretending that that game is just another game with no more significance than any other game on the schedule just isn't accurate. It's more important to the fans, and it's obviously more important to the players based on the way they collapse after a loss in that game.

Speak for yourself. Alabama is not LSU's rival. Never have been, never will be. The game is important because Alabama has been good for a while now.

In the end, the goal is to make it to Atlanta. LSU can't do that without major improvements to the offense, whether they beat Alabama next year or not.

Not gonna happen. He could , sorry. He WILL lose the next two years and be 5-9 . What do all these "hypotheticals", always have the best case outcome? What happened to reality?

That is the point of the hypothetical you fricking dipshit. The reality is the games haven't happened yet and hypothetically...fill in the blank.

OP, what if Saban retires from Bama in 2017 and Bama steals Coach Miles away from LSU.

What then?

Then, LSU fans will elevate Miles to status of a deity within 5 years.

7-7

That's listing how many points we score against Bama in the next two games right?

Hypothetically, if LSU beats Alabama the next two years, wins the West and at least one SEC Championship, will all be forgiven?

Yeah I'd think most fans would be pretty thrilled

Classy. The point is , genius, you clowns always think we will win the games that matter, when in reality, we rarely do. Sorry I don't live in dreamland. Wake up, tough guy

No, the point is, it is a hypothetical question which you do not control the content of.

I'm not that tough of a guy btw.

Hypothetically, if Mark Hudsoeth leads USL to 3 undefeated seasons they could potentially have enough national recognition to make the 4 team playoff

So you're saying it is possible?

7-7 against Alabama, not Saban

Correct. He would be 5-7 vs Saban which would be way better than anyone else.

Saban owns Miles' balls, Miles will lose to Saban every year until he's gone.

Crazy to think that 7 out of the 10 games have been so close with an idiot for a head coach.

Had we beaten Arky and Ole Piss we would likely be in the playoffs this year.

We wouldn't have even won our division. The committee wasn't putting two teams from the SEC in this year.

And I'd even argue that it probably will never occur where the committee puts two teams in from the same conference. They will in an 8 team playoff, but not the current four team format.
