Mouthy OU fans left at halftime, not sure what I enjoyed more watching them on first half beat down or the quietness of 2nd half.

The game ended up breaking both of us.

Also interesting that your current top 3 receivers (yards) in the NFL were on the field in Jefferson, Chase, and Lamb.
All players from da boot. Just unreal wr talent.

We all thought LSU was going to roll the next year as well. Then there was CoVID, the O-implosion, etc. Weird times.

Then there was No Brady, No Burrow, No Aranda, No Busch, No Chase..........

In come Linehan/Pelini in 20 and Oneofus tried to coach the DB's without Daddy Busch holding his hand.

It was an Orgeron created disaster of epic proportions and got worse in 21 with Peetz and Mangus as OC/PGC.

Shrimpy was only worried about his gold digger P-Tang.

Got tickets the night before around midnight. Got up around 4 am and headed to Atlanta with my son. After the game we drove back home. About 30 hours start to finish. That was a LONG, great, day.

We pulled over on the side of interstate and watched end of the Clemson OSU game on my phone.

we could've hung 80+ on the Sooners that night if we wanted to.

80? We had 49 at half. 95-100 was possible.

Well would you look at that.. Rattler came into the game... And he still can't hit a WR in their hands....

Unfortunately, this seems like the distant past, and LSU’s program hasn’t been the same since.

I remember near halftime they showed stats on the video board that Burrow had broken the CFP record for TDs

Watching the espn coaches cast, or whatever they called it, those guys had some harsh words for the sooner defense and specifically, the defensive coaches.

“…I can’t believe they are making no adjustments.”
“….they are doing the same thing”
“…same defense….LSU is gonna score again…”

Just comical.

It looked like we were playing a JV team. I've never seen a more dominant game and it was in the playoffs. We absolutely imposed our will on them without a single struggle.

Surprised my son as part of Christmas. He was 7. We woke him up and said time to get on an airplane to go the game. We had a blast. I went to every game that season home and away… will never forget.

First impression is that Texas will spend enough on coaches and players to compete in the SEC but the state of OU these last few years has me remembering how Miami and FSU were going to dominate the ACC forevermore and just like that they dropped down to mediocre. OU may soon wish they were racking up 11-1 records on Iowa State and Texas Tech every year.

I was there with my sons.
Thought I will beat the rush for the concessions and bathroom 5 minutes before half time and I see TWO more TDs waiting in line :)

The last season of real college football and it was glorious. I don’t care if I never see another season or game.
