It’s a joke because of Hellmers being the opening day starter at 3rd a few years back

I suspect because not many LSU fans have seen Priester play catcher. In fall of 2023, he played catcher quite a bit and was adequate defensiively and good offensively, IMO. He will get alot of PT there this fall, along with the other newcomers.

Would assume Dickinson unless a Freshman steps up and Dickinson becomes the DH. I just don't see Jay going to Jared and asking him to move to 3rd base after the work he put in at 1st.

I heard they were going to let him start on the mound next year. That's why he came back bc Jay Johnson promised.
