He was told he had no future with the team after Kelly begged him to come back and lied about an open competition until Fall Camp. He should have been named the starter after the Spring Game. Instead Daniels was handed the reigns without proving anything.

Daniels was guaranteed to start when he agreed to transfer.

How do you know this? Kelly guaranteed Daniels the starting job? He knows nothing about QBs if that is the case. Daniels is awful.

They need to just run one on ones at practice and have Daniels practice throwing as soon as the break is about to happen. The only issue he has is throwing to where the receiver will be. That is why Denbrock has been calling all 22 routes. He only will throw to receivers that are stopped. When he tries to throw to them in motion he is not accurate and because of fricking last year at ASU with all of the interceptions he is gun shy now. All week needs to be constantly practicing like that. This is the week if he does that it will show. Tennessee's pass defense is horrible.

Well neither QB looks very good. If LSU cannot create a good passing game, it will likely be another losing record.

Not to derail the thread, but what a stupid fricking comment. You would never say that shite outside of a message board nor would you meet Brennen at Sonic

Joe Burrow wouldn't put up nearly as good numbers with this antiquated scheme.

They need to open it up with 4 WR sets from sideline to sideline creating space for WR. This will allow Daniel's to throw at ease with not much thinking inolved.

He quit b/c he wasn't named the starter and didn't want to compete.

We have 3 highly recruited QBs that had many offers from P5 schools. Teams do more with less. Time to step up and quit making excuses.

I think hiring Mike Denbrook has been a bit detrimental. Routes are taking way too long to develop. Absolutely no disguise, no setting anything up, nothing.

Brennan was a smart kid with a great arm . He had/has a slight build and no foot speed . He would have been really hurt in SEC play . He made the right decision . Look , Daniels could end up getting clobbered with a good hit , but the probability is lower because of his foot speed . CBK needs to get Nuss involved .

He left because he could not physically play football anymore. The guy nearly split his core and never recovered. Forget this summer, why was he in a QB battle with Max Johnson last year? Why quit instead of transfer or just stay at SM? Just put on the spring game and you can see he’s moving like a 15 year vet on his last legs. He never recovered from his injuries in 2020 and there was no way he could play major college football anymore.

Yeah cause he wasn't in shape and lost the fire to play football. Is what it is.
