Ohio State Vs Michigan has been VERY one sided since 2012. Everyone always uses this arguement to argue against having Bama as LSU's rival so I'm using it here to show how that doesn't make sense anymore.

All I am saying is I cant stand Bama fans and I KNOW Bama fans cant stand me as a tiger fan, so I think its safe to call it a rivalry for at least as long as Nick Saban is HC there. There is enough history now. Auburn is an in state rival for Bama and Tennessee is irrelevant in the SEC.

I guarantee you Saban is working just as hard to prepare for LSU, as he is to prepare for Auburn this year.

The top four rivalries listed look pretty accurate actually, but I'd move Georgia/ Florida and Miss State/Ole Miss up to numbers 5 and 6. Maybe it's just because I'm more familiar with SEC football, but I can promise you that there is no love last between these rivals. They absolutely despise each other.

How is LSU not on this list at all.....LSU vs Bama should at the very least be top 10. And they are not even in the list at all....this is a joke

More people watch Bama/LSU than any other regular season game.
More people who have no affiliation with either school watch this game.
Nobody gives a shite about the time school A stole school B’s mascot in 1922 or whatever.

Not true, Auburn beats Ala a lot more than LSU does. He wouldn't be fired for losing to LSU a few years in a row he would to Auburn. Auburn has beaten him 2 of the last 3 years.

The case against LSU being on this list is that our rivalry energy gets split among multiple teams. Bama last few years, but in the Tebow years, nothing topped the FL game. And decades ago, it was Ole Miss.

This list touches on rivalries that stretch back unchanged for decades.

Went to a friends house who lived in Ann Arbor around where lots of Michigan students lived. Went to use the restroom, and the hexagonal floor tiles very clearly spelled out "F*** Ohio State". That tile had been there for 30 years. LSU just doesn't have that history of rivalry.

Who else can declare a game a 'rivalry' if not the fanbases? Isn't that precisely WHO is responsible for declaring such a thing?

So how are these rivalries determined these days then?

I mean....a matchup that for over a decade is a matchup of often two top 15 teams when the season is nearly complete having a direct impact on the national championship isn’t big enough to make it a rivalry....between not just the players but the fans?

Oh wait....you mean a rivalry game like the egg bowl or fricking Bedlam in Oklahoma just because they have played for 100 years and last game of the regular season makes it a rivalry game....GTFOH.

LSU vs BAMA may not have the history of back in the day....but the last 12 years you can’t show me any matchup played with teams that are almost every year fighting for a realistic birth in national championship.....NONE....so take your BS old rivalry games that don’t mean shite now and pound it.

It’s not a rivalry. It’s a big game between two big time programs. Are you like 16 years old or did you just start watching LSU in 2011?

I get it. But it has become a top 20 rivalry. Period. All rivalries have a start, and we win the next two and this one becomes red hot.

If anything I would say that LSU's biggest "classic rivalry" would be with Arkansas. The battle for the golden boot.

Well this millennium it is one of the most anticipated games of the season every season. And the Saban departure added to more fuel to fire. And it’s a major recruiting battle ev year between these two programs. I’m sorry but it’s a bigger game than most of the games listed. Traditionally no but it’s bigger than half the games on that list
