LSU will keep Bama (TV draw), Ole Miss ( long standing rivalry), and 8&4 (new rivalry)

This seems really reasonable. Kentucky seems to have the easiest draw here and Auburn the toughest. No matter what Auburn will have the most difficult draw because their traditional rivals are Alabama and Georgia.

Saw this somewhere else and it makes sense to me, maybe w some minor tweaking.

For all of you holding out that we'll play Bama or FU every year, not gonna happen. Bama will not give up Au or Tn and there's no way the SEC powers are gonna give them three tough games every year. TV draw? BS. There's much more money coming into the conference if Bama makes the playoff.

And FU's priority games will always be Uga and Tn.

I still say that there's no way that Bama end up with LSU, Tenn, and Auburn, or that Auburn ends up with LSU, Bama, and Georgia. I won't complain, I just can't see that.

They won’t do that to Bama even though they and Auburn deserve it.

Can we trade A&M for Texas? Would be a lot cooler

LSU-Auburn/Florida/Ole Miss, Aub/Fl are always competitive good games and Ole Miss is a old school rival

The tide and the plainsmen both have ridiculous draws… I’m not on board with ‘permanent’…

I think the most likely 3 permanent opponents are A&M, State and Ole Miss, which we should all be excited about.

The Mississippi schools are never really contenders and the Aggies constantly underachieve. Our road to the SECCG would be easier with this alignment.

You’ll still play the all the big time programs at least once ever two years and the new format will take the top two teams without having to consider divisions.

Think about how many years we could’ve possibly made the SECCG if we didn’t automatically have to face Bama in the regular season.

Before Kirby went to Georgia, rarely were to two best teams in the conference matched up in the SECCG.

They are not getting rid of LSU-Alabama on an annual basis. It’s literally among the best ratings yearly, if not the highest along with Michigan-Ohio State. That’ll stay. Speculate Alabama has LSU, Auburn, and say Mississippi State. LSU would have Alabama, Ole Miss, and Arkansas or Auburn.

From what I’ve heard, the SEC views the league in two separate groups based on hierarchy and how the schools tend to vote, etc., and will set schedules accordingly.

Group A - will play 2 opponents from their group + 1 opponent from Group B.

Group B - will play 2 opponents from their group + 1 opponent in Group A.

Group A
Alabama
Auburn
LSU
Georgia
Florida
Texas A&M / Tennessee
Texas
Oklahoma

Group B
Kentucky
Ole Miss
Missouri
Vandy
Arkansas
South Carolina
Mississippi State
Texas A&M / Tennessee

It won’t be that Bama and Aubie have 3 strong teams. And Kentucky has 3 weak teams.
