you ain't shitting. people kept him as their avatars. for years. all knowing the chances of him getting back here were about .01%.......pipe dreams.
This is truly surreal. he did great in 2 years at mcneese but bailing NCSU after 1 year? Had mcMAhaon succeeded this would not have been necessary.
Thnaks again for screwing up scott woodward.

I for one am excited to drag up old threads about him being a terrible in game coach to remind everyone why this is a lazy hire.
Wade is usually great at scouting and attention to detail in pre-gameday prep. His in-game coaching has considerable room for improvement.
But LSU had a consistent winning product with him and an SEC Championship, so we know he is capable of winning considerably in the SEC as well. So I'm not sure the lazy hire thing applies here because he was quite successful at LSU (and he had success at VCU and McNeese as well). And I'm sure there were some decent challenges with trying to bring him back here. If he does indeed become the coach again...

We have wandered in the desert for years my friends.
Now we will get back to the orchard.

How can it be a lazy hire when he has the highest winning percentage of any LSU men's basketball coach in more than 100 years. That includes Dale Brown, Harry Rabenhorst and John Brady. His overall winning percentage (.696) is close to that of Nate Oats at Alabama (.702), though Oats has obviously advanced further in the postseason. It's also not a lazy hire if you're looking for someone to come in and immediately re-energize the program.
