Agreed. Once again, every opponent is already booked for rivalry week except OU or Arky. It would be weird for them to switch up Arky/Mizzou next year

No dates for SEC games. Will probably play Bama on 11/8 and OU on 11/29. WKU is on 11/22.

Our loss to USC has no impact on our SEC standings. We’re 6-2 & still have a better chance to go to SEC CG than Ole Miss or Missouri does with their weak schedule
If we lose one of the next four we are 100% out of the Playoff. If beat a Bowling Green week 1 we can still make the Playoff if we went 3-1 in the last 4. Again, all risk and no reward

All I gotta say is our 2026 schedule is going to be awesome.
Clemson at home. Will be interesting to see who SEC gives us at home out of the Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, Auburn, State, Tennessee, Missouri and what they do with the 8th SEC game.
In theory, we should get State, Texas, Mizzou and Kentucky as our home considering the last time we played all those teams we were on the road.
Road games would likely be Tenn, Georgia and Auburn (that’s shitty). But we also need to see what the SEC does from an 8 or 9 game scheduling standpoint between now and then

Would really like them to not to back-to-back Road games in 2025 especially if its something like @ Bama then @ Ole Miss.
Stagger the away and home games to avoid consecutive away games.

I’m planning on attending one of these two maybe both if it works out.
Clemson is on my wishlist too

I fully understand why, from a competitive standpoint, LSU is choosing to play three non-power conf. opponents.
LSU rolls out tougher OOC schedules than like 90+% of power conference schools. We are opening with a true road game against fricking Clemson.
In a year when we play Clemson, Alabama, and Ole Miss on the road, you’re mad that we didn’t schedule another tough OOC opponent?
Blame the SEC for the home slate, not LSU.

Just looked at future scheduling for LSU, and I know these games are 6-8 years out. But a home and home with Arizona State and Utah is pretty cool.

Hopefully by 2027, we will stop losing week 1

I’d love to visit Utah. On that note I’d really love a series with BYU also

my son lives in Utah now.
it's freaking gorgeous the whole ride through that state.
BYU has possibly the best view in all of college baseball.

Shut up.. it has been proved time and time again that playing beefed up out of conference schedule does nothing but hurt you. Play and beat the cup cakes and have a home playoff match up.
Try to read and follow along, bozo. The first thing I said was...

So again, I understand why LSU chooses to not beef-up it's non-conf. schedule. Having a tough non-conf. schedule doesn't provide a big competitive advantage, if any.
But from a fan standpoint it doesn't create much excitement to watch LSU beat up on 3 cup cakes plus (coincidentally in this case) an SEC schedule with most of the teams likely to be at the bottom of the league.
At the end of the day, from a fan's perspective college football is SOLEY a form of entertainment. Nothing more. The home schedule next year doesn't look particularly entertaining relative to other season. I'm not saying LSU should do anything different with the schedule. Just that games against SLU, La. Tech, and WKU aren't going to get anyone excited.
My hope is that one day the power conferences will fully create their own league and the days of watching not just LSU, but any power conf. program beat up on much weaker conf. teams will be over. There's nothing entertaining about those games.

Other than clemson September is an absolute snooze fest
Posted on 10/31/24 at 3:20 pm to JimTiger72
It’s most likely going to be vs South Carolina on September 13 cause Vanderbilt hasn’t Announced their 4 non conference opponent let and based on past seasons Vanderbilt September 13 game will most likely be non conference game

A playoff spot is a MUST next year. Must beat a Clemson team whose coach hates the transfer portal, go undefeated at home (certainly doable with that slate of home games), beat OK and Vandy on the road, and just split the Ole Miss/Bama road games. A playoff spot is all but guaranteed to a 1-loss SEC team prior to the SEC Championship Game.
Even if we were to lose a 2nd game, our playoff chances would be high with that schedule.
BK has no excuse next year.
