I fully understand why, from a competitive standpoint, LSU is choosing to play three non-power conf. opponents. But from an entertainment standpoint that looks like a REALLY lackluster schedule. Outside of A&M (and maybe Florida) there aren't any games that will truly excite the fanbase. Obviously this is several months in advance, but when next season starts LSU would likely be looking at ONE home game vs. a ranked opponent.

Shut up.. it has been proved time and time again that playing beefed up out of conference schedule does nothing but hurt you. Play and beat the cup cakes and have a home playoff match up.

LA Tech & SLU fans are probably pretty excited. We don’t control our SEC home schedule & there’s no sense in adding an “exciting” matchup just for entertainment purposes.

Our loss to USC has no impact on our SEC standings. We’re 6-2 & still have a better chance to go to SEC CG than Ole Miss or Missouri does with their weak schedule
