I could understand making this case a month ago but not after the way McMahon has rebounded. If the team adds Miller or a similar level guard, it is likely better than last year's team. Eason was a great talent but KJ will be solid in the post and we have 2 high 4-star FR coming in, not to mention the core of Murray State's tourney-experienced team. We will actually be quite good next year.

Maybe. But even then it was way too early to know what the long-term impact of Wade's firing would be. In fact, it's too early now. However, it is certainly starting to look like the rebuild might not be much of a rebuild after all.

Looks like Matt will do very well at recruiting, and hopefully his coaching will eliminate our streetball'esque type of play.

without knowing what the sanctions would be, and we still dont, it was always premature for people to be claiming that this program would be dead for years. Basketball is the easiest of the sports to be rebuild. While i loved Wades agressiveness and recruiting ability, his x's and o's ability lacked alot to be desired. McMahon in my mind will be an upgrade. And if you can build a group of guys that play as a team instead of as individuals, you can win in College Basketball.

It has already been an A+++ off-season for CMM. He literally started with 2 players in Mwani and JWill who weren't even guaranteed to return and the spector of sanctions over the program. He has quickly built a solid roster from mostly mid-majors and even brought in 3 guys as a freshman class that exceeded everyone's expectations on its own.

I just hope everyone pumps the breaks a bit as the top half of the league got a lot stronger. The team and coaches are going to have to work their tails off to be competitive in those games, and the rest of the SEC isn't going to be easy either.

Depending on sanctions this is still going to take a few years to really get going.

McMahon inherited 2 role players, no incoming freshman class, and the dark cloud of NCAA sanctions. You really can't inherit much less than that.

I use the designated positions just because they are traditional. There are very few real centers in either college or pro ball. With the emphasis on fast play and three point shooting , most teams don't have a player who always plays with his back to the basket. Most big men are interchangeable these days.

That would be A++++ lol. Get Miller or Sills at guard and another solid player with the last part and you have a roster jay should absolutely make the tournament on paper

Stop with the fricking sanctions this and sanctions that talk it's not going to happen this is why McMahon has been able to recruit like he is,he knows what the penalties are going to be,and he has passed this information along to players he is recruiting that's why there coming here and that's why McMahon is killing it in recruiting players. It will not be that bad and they will have a postseason obviously

What’s with all these transfers? Is this an LSU student college team or a NBA minor league showcase.

Time to add Miller to the list. One scholly left right? We need another big, which I believe we're in on a few high school guys.
