Nah, Jobert. I’ll edit if project wants, but don’t really care. Could be nothing, Could be looking around. Who knows. Would seem like he’d be useful but maybe not guaranteed AB’s with Berry on board

Tough decisions will have to be made by the players and staff. Just not enough ABs to go around, and the roster hasn't even taken its full shape yet. Plus, you need to shorten the list of position players to get pitching in.

Will be tough for sure. A guy like Jobert is basically a corner guy. Heard he wasn’t great in OF. So prob 1B/DH. Merrifield, if he hits, seems to be able to play anywhere

I still say we need to bring in 2 pitchers through the portal with experience and if we only lose P Ben Kudrna in the incoming class that would be great but not likely. If we can bring Fontenot back that would be awesome.

Jobert is ok in the outfield. He could develop like Dugas did out there. I hear we have another OF transferring in, too. It's going to be crowded everywhere.
ETA: Rumored to be a CF from Arizona, so that would be Donta Williams or Chase Davis, maybe Tyler Casagrande.

I believe Williams is a Jr though but he'd be my choice and he batted 1st for Arizona with lots of speed but Davis and the other guy are solid as well.

Once that's settled and the day after the draft is over we can bring in a few really good pitchers through the portal!!!

Jobert also has another year of JUCO if he wants to use it. He doesn’t really have to go anywhere. If he does go D1, he will be a 3rd year freshman.

I don't know if Williams and Davis are in the portal. I know Casagrande is. When I asked last night if we would be getting any more Arizona players, the answer was LHP and CF probably.

He would still have to be a sophomore right? 2020 at Nicholls was his freshman year, 2021 at Delgado would be his covid freshman year.

This year in juco didn’t count against eligibility. It was essentially a free year for everyone.
