Burrow vs Badger

TM7 is my favorite all-time Tiger but Big Dick Joe goes in dry and lights up the 2011 defense imo.

'19 offense all day long. Everytime they played a defense like none they had seen before (how many times was it?), Ensminger, Brady, and Burrow eventually picked it apart and just did what they wanted. Plus, maybe the only offense that '11 defense faced that could be comparable was West Virginia and they moved the ball all over them.

What was the season record for both squads?

That is irrelevant. The question wasn't who would win a real game, it was specifically 2019 offense vs 2011 defense. If you weren't around to see it, trust me, it wasn't the 2011 defense that was the reason for a loss.

In my opinion, the 2019 offense would score, but I don't think it would be 30, 40, 50 points. That 2011 defense was a lot better than the Auburn defense this year.

With the 2019 offense there was no way to stop it because Joe Burrow would pick anyone apart. He is the difference but a hats off to that 2011 defense.

2019 and not even close

Now quit asking in these stupid arse threads if Trey Quinn, Sammy Martin, and Ghandi played with Burrow if they would have been better!!

Of course they would have been. Or, better yet, let's ask if Billy Cannon would have played with Burrow if he would have won the Heisman? Oh wait...he did win it.

Claiborne is probably on Chase (slight advantage Chase)

TM7 is on Jefferson (advantage Jefferson) TM7 is the greatest playmaker in LSU history but as a pure corner he was not a shut down guy.

Then you have to ask who is covering Marshall, Thad, and CEH? Simon on Marshall would be a nightmare matchup for Simon.

That LSU defense was great but they weren’t greatest of all time great like the LSU offense was this past year. The only thing you can’t factor in is what TM7 would do to change the game. He was that special a player but I would say 2019 offense would still put up 40 points on that defense. That’s not meant to slight 2011 at all. That is just how freaking good Joe Burrow and this offense was.

It's a totally different type of game now. West Virginia and Oregon were high powered offenses, but now an offense that is fast paced and spreads you out......you pretty much face them every week. That defense was great in it's time, but the game has evolved so much that it would almost be negated now.

Dude. Calm down. We could talk about the sports that are being played right now... I’ll wait... come on... There’s no sports at all to speak of right now. Even these questions, as dumb as can be are better then no discussion at all for some. I just don’t read the thread or participate in those. Complaining about a thread you “don’t care about” or think is stupid is just as bad as them.

You serious? We literally let Geno throw 3 yard passes underneath all game long. He had 400+ yards and went 2/2. WVY only put up 21 points.

This is the same team that hung 70 on Clemson in the orange bowl.

Seeing how Bama won the Mulligan with AJ McCarron throwing on us as the key to their offense that day, I go with BDJB all day in this matchup.

If those two teams played, 2019 wins 28 or 31 to 10.

that offense from 2011 ran so much clock out by running dive all night. so the 2019 team wouldnt have the ball as much. that was les' style

Tyler Shelvin would have eaten their lunch if they ran dive all night. I would have love to see the Stingley/Fulton vs Odell/Jarvis matchup. But the whole pendulum swings to the 2019 team because of Burrow vs Jefferson. It ain't even close. JMO

TM7 wasn't all that great in coverage. He was more of disruptor.
